Under the heavy-handed direction of MODOK, AIM scientists and engineers are working to complete the next generation of the MECHBOT. Originally designed as a "Hulk-buster" suit of armor operated personally by MODOK, the MECHBOT series continually evolves to suit the nefarious goals of AIM.

The newest generation of the MECHBOT is equipped with repulsor technology reversed-engineered from recovered Iron-Man armor battle remnants and stolen files from the secret information archives of Stark Enterprises and SHIELD. Anti-gravity generators supplemented by repulsors allow the MECHBOT to fly. The design of the hand-replusors on Iron Man's armor has been scaled up by AIM engineers into repulsor canons mounted on the MECHBOT's manipulators.

The MECHBOT maximizes its lethality with a mix of explosive energy, chemical, and biological weapons, which are delivered with the SNIPER, MINIGUN, and GRENADE weapons systems. The SNIPER employs a large-calibre gun that fires steerable, smart ammunition capable of disabling and/or destroying faraway targets. What the MINIGUN lacks in accuracy, it more than makes up in sheer destructive power at closer distances. GRENADEs are used to effect wide-area collateral damage and release weaponized chemical and biological agents.

For close quarter confrontations, the MENTAL force field projector is used for both defense and attack. MODOK's own psionic power is amplified and directed using the MENTAL force field projector.

Great story tie in for the contest. Your MODOK was awesome in its own right. Can't wait to see how you fit him in this mech. On another note, it's just not fair.

There's going to be a new MODOK that's shoehorned into this model; It's similar, but smaller than before, a little better in scale with conventional minifigs, I think.

What's really not fair is the other mechs that're coming down the pipe from others. I expect to see some truly insane designs in the next couple of months, because there are evil geniuses that've been building and planning since last year in preparation for MOC Madness.

Interesting. The rules seem to IMPLY that the pilot must be a minifig, but the letter of the rules doesn't ACTUALLY rule out a brick built figure. Well done.

The cockpit has manual controls, but of course, MODOK usually controls the MECHBOT wirelessly, not with Bluetooth, but with his evil mind. MODOK docks into the cockpit, snug as a bug in a rug.

MEMORANDUM: MECHBOT MINIGUN Removal, SNIPER Upgrade, & Flamethrowers

The MINIGUN has been removed from the MECHBOT due to its frequent jamming, and the negative effect of its large ammo pack on the flight control characteristics of the MECHBOT.

The SNIPER has been upgraded to the SUPER SNIPER (Steerable Unit Precision Enhanced Recoilless Sub Neural Interface Projectile Energy Rifle) weapon system, which features smart munitions that can be guided in-flight to their target.

MODOK has been practicing extending the throw of the GRENADES by using the repulsor cannons on the hand manipulators of the MECHBOT to push and launch GRENADES further. More GRENADES have been added to the MECHBOT to facilitate MODOK's fondness for "grenade spam".

After watching the documentary film "Iron Man", MODOK has ordered that flamethrowers be added to the hand manipulators of the MECHBOT.

MEMORANDUM: MECHBOT Flamethrowers to be replaced with "SHarp STICKS"

The cause of a fire-related incident which burned down key AIM engineering labs was traced to components of the MECHBOT flamethrowers. The faulty design of the flamethrowers cannot be corrected in time for the November delivery date. Removal of the MECHBOTS flamethrowers must begin immediately.

MODOK has directed that the flamethrowers be replaced with SHarp STICKS (Supersonic Harpoon System To Inflict Concentrated Kinetic Stress). The SHarp STICKS weapon system was inspired by the pop-culture classic movie, Aliens, directed by James Cameron. In the movie, Private Apone is extolling the weapon resources of the Colonial Marines, ending his exciting tirade with, "We've got nukes. We've got knives...sharp sticks!"

Begin work integrating SHarp STICKS onto the MECHBOT ASAP.
