Celebration VI's Exclusive Slave I

Postby Staff » Thu Aug 30, 2012 2:06 pm

Boba Fett minifig with Slave 1

Here's one for the Boba Fettish file. Barry "hawk2009" Johnson has posted these pictures of the Celebration VI exclusive set. I'd say this is a much nicer model than Maul's Infiltrator, but I'm very biased when it comes to the Fett. It looks to me like there are a couple of parts I don't think are otherwise available yet, but I could be wrong and if those dark green corners and dark red wedges are available feel free to post the BL catalog entry in the comments since you've got the free time ;)

Finally!! Photos of the loose tin!! I think it's pretty awesome and on par w/ the Darth Maul tin. I'd love to see this mini form turned into a mario kart style racing game. That'd be pretty darn awesome. :)

I love everything about that idea... except that it wasn't mine.

The windscreen is part number 92474 windscreen 6 x 2 x 2 with handle

Does anyone have any idea what the dark red parts on the back are?

Can't tell in these pics but the other dark red wedge could be new if it's :

Wedge 4 x 4 Triple with Stud Notches
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=48933

But it's probably just :

Wedge 4 x 2 Triple Right & Left
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=43711
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=43710

The one piece wedge hasn't appeared in dark red according to BL but the 2 separate pieces have several times.

Was the minifig polybagged or just packed w/ the bricks?

I never thought the Slave I could be so painfully cute.

Is it just me, though, or does Boba look like he has an, um... ponytail (on the front of his torso)? What am I seeing, exactly? I'm perplexed.

wookie scalp. the Fett collects Wookie scalps and braids them on his armor.

That's actually a much less disturbing explanation. Now just to rid myself of the mental image of Boba Fett with a ponytail. :p

The minifig was just with the parts. It is a boba fett without the jet pack and with a different head. No new pieces, but it will require a bricklink order.

They had a number for it on bricklink for a few days, but now it appears to be gone?

Didn't you just buy two of these?

I was happy to snag one of these at CVI on Friday. It was difficult to get on Saturday I was maybe 20th in line to get into the convention and by the time I got to the booth there were already a bunch of people there. none of which were in front of me in line all VIPs and exhibitors from the looks of things. nice set for sure some of my friends wanted one and couldn't snag it.

I tried two days to get one, but was unsuccessful. First day I was in back of the line quite a bit, the second day I was about 100th in line, but still couldn't get it. What was funny is that there was a guy a few people in front of me and he was like one of the first people in line when I got to the Lego booth. Line integrity tends to get challenged there and makes trying to get exclusives hard to achieve. Someone offered me there exhibitor badge to use, but I declined. I should have just gotten one the first day. It was my first Celebration so I learned a lot of do's and dont's. I ended up buying two tins off of E Bay.....the price you pay I guess.

The chaos of Celebration VI is the reason why it' was both my first and last visit to a "Celebration". I went hoping to get a few exclusives. Being a "rookie" was too hard to overcome. The important thing was that my kids had a blast. I'll stick to purchasing the exclusives online. It'll save me time and money to just get what I want.

It's a cool little set. I just got the Darth Maul Mini Sith Infiltrator tin today too.
