March-April LEGO Magazine

Postby baby_yoda » Wed Mar 18, 2009 8:16 pm

Hello fellow Bothans!

I was just wondering, since it takes longer for the lego club magazine to come in, if anybody knows some galleries with scans of the magazine, or is so kind and generous to scan their own and post pics. Thanks in advance!

Couldn't that technically be a violation of copyright law?

Well, I personally don't know if this should be deleted, since it could be a good reference for later, and I am far from an expert on the subject. I myself get like 3 or 4 different Lego mags and I can't keep straight which ones are free and which are paid. So, if the club mag is one of the free ones, then it's probably not as big of a deal than if it's one of the paid ones. Still, I believe that the producer of the content has a say in its distribution, so even if it's free, they can choose to be jerks about it if they really wanted to.

Okay, I don't have any scans, but I wouldn't say it violates copyright laws, since it's free. Brickmaster might be, but Club Magazine is free.

BTW, settle down on the "lol" a little bit, okay.

I don't know why I dropped back here again lately. LEGO can no longer hold my interest, and I'm almost certainly gone forever. Bye to all who remember me.

Yes I did. I got my magazine 2 weeks ago.

I'm from BC too ! From Burnaby.

It generally takes longer for it to get to Canada. USA gets their magazines faster than us. Also, we don't get brickmaster even if we WANT TO subscribe. Its an exclusive to US residents.

For the record, whether something is copyrighted or not is quite a separate issue from whether it costs money. I would assume that the free LEGO magazine is copyrighted by LEGO. So techincally speaking, scanning and posting it here would be a copyright violation. But I also would guess that, techincally speaking, LEGO wouldn't really give a crap.
