I'd suggest taking a look at this particular rule:

. . . The minifigure has to fit the line. That means fleshy colored heads and hands (unless your character isn't flesh colored of course).
If the above post didn't offend you, you're probably reading it wrong.

I was hoping I would be original with my choice of hero, but legochrism beat me to it. Any way Here's my entry:

Green Arrow's "T-17 Arrow Interceptor"

In Flight Mode:

Why does Superman need a jet? well... it runs on Kryptonite, so when he's around it he's weakened and would need a plane to fly.

The Superjet reminds me of Johnny Sokko's Giant Robot, or a Shogun Warrior toy, and makes me all nostalgic for my childhood. Thumbs up.

Can I simply white out the background in Photoshop?

Yeah that is totally fine:

"The only image enhancement allowed is replacing the background with either a solid color or simple gradient. Your photo cannot be altered in any other way. For example; no composite views, additional special effects, text, graphics, or scenery will be permitted. Remember, the contest is about the models - not your image manipulation prowess."

I can feel Solo's frustration building haha

Awesome thanks.

Apologies for missing that on the intro. I'm blaming going to bed at 5 in morning in creating my MOC.

Haha no worries, I was bored and felt like answering a question. But going to bed at 5 in the morning after building... that makes you a true MOCer!

My entry. Batman's The Bat-Fury

To apprehend Gotham's updated criminals, Batman needed a new flying vehicle, one a bit faster than his trusty Bat-Chopper, and one easier to manoeuvre between the city's skyscrapers than his turbo-charged Bat-wing. While on the drawing board of such a design, Batman had playing in the background the movie “How to train your Dragon, and from there he eureka the idea to make his latest vehilce look a bit like a frightening dragon. Thus, The Bat-Fury was born after equipping it with a 60-calibre cannon, and a front modified Walther 2000 sniper rifle to never miss the tyres of those bank robbers. In addition to the tear-gas launchers, and rubber-bullet shooters, as well to it's swivel mid section for better agility, The Bat-Fury can neatly fold up to park vertically, even on Commissioner Gordon's driveway for those Saturday BBQ's.

Many thanks to FBTB and especially lego for contributing towards this contest. This is my first MOC completed... finally. Apologies for the inconsistent picture quality, my Nokia hasn't been the same since it's visit in the pool, and then drying on the balcony for a week.

Enjoy the additional in-flight and folded parked pictures of The Bat-Fury.

Hypothetically speaking, I know we aren't allowed to enhance pictures in any way, but would we be allowed to take pictures outside and leave the background as is (with rocks and grass and stuff)?

Just for the record I've already taken my pictures (and prefer a white background anyways), just curious.

That's fine, but you run the risk of having a distracting background and hurting the appeal of your model if you want to try something like that.
