[Master Beef]

I built this "Almost" Vic Viper in January 2012. I actually started this project thinking I would build Anakin's Eta-2 Interceptor for Star Wars Episode III (you can still see remnants of that in the wings if you look at it from the back), but I decided to just build somthing from my own imagination. I really liked how it turned out! Enjoy!

I tried commenting on this the other day, but the forum crashed and ate my text apparently. Overall, I like it. Really cool wrap around engine, love the moving panels and detailed underside, all in all a lot of nice details. I think the blue stripes would look better as red or dark red due to the stickers, and the backwards tilt when landed seems a bit odd... but those are minor issues. Sweet build.

I really like this build. Very clean and loads of detail. My son noticed the skull in the engine area right away.

Solo: Answering your comment about the oddity of the ships angle when on the ground: I was watching the Incredibles right before I built this. I noticed that the Velocipod pilots enter and exit their crafts from the bottom, so I decided to build that feature into my model. I hope that helps.

Its right in the middle of the 6th picture down from the top (Almost VV Underside, landing gear down) with the two light grey studs in the eyes. It might not be a skull, just looks like one.

I was being sarcastic in my last comment. After I decided not to make this ship Anakin's Eta-2, I basically picked out a skull piece and built around that. That's usually how I build my models; constructing an entire model around one brick. Try it sometime!

Nice, the ribbed and smooth hose detail that can be uncovered with the moveable/variable geometry is cool.
