It's amazing how LEGO manages to "mess up" just about every promotion in some way...
The postcard I got last weekend mentioned four items only valid on 4th and 5th of May:
- Free TC-14 for LEGO Star Wars purchases worth at least EUR 55
- Free poster for any LEGO Star Wars purchases
- Free Mini TIE Fighter for any LEGO Star Wars purchases
- Free shipping for all orders over EUR 55
I waited and finally ordered the UCS R2D2 from German Shop@Home this morning. My main worry was that it might go out of stock between May 1st and today. (A footnote clearly states that back-ordered items are excluded from the promotion.)
Then I placed a second order for the Architecture Sydney Opera House and a bunch of S7 minifigs, just above the EUR 55 limit for free shipping. Guess what? Another free TC-14, free poster and free Mini TIE without a single Star Wars item in the cart.
I'm not complaining, but why does LEGO always seem incapable of enforcing the conditions it has set up front for such promotions?
