I sent Onions over $200 worth of figs to be given away in the Christmas contest. I haven't seen those figs (I think it was supposed to be days 19 and 20). I sent him a couple of messages last week, but have not had a response.

Does anyone know if they were given away? Or if Onions is away?

I'm also curious as to what's going on with this. I sent Onions a PM the other day inquiring about both this and the Toys For Tots drive, but the message is still sitting unsent in my Outbox. I'm sure he's busy, but a quick two-second update on the boards would be nice, given the ever-increasing timeframe and lack of status.

See, I just figured this fell by the wayside and would never get finished, and thought that was no big deal, as I certainly don't feel like I'm OWED any such generous giveaway.

However, if people donated stuff to be given away, and that didn't happen, I think THEY, at least, deserve some kind of response.

I don't mean to represent our Glorious Leader who can certainly speak for himself, but in the most recent conversation I had with him time had simply gotten away from him in the rush of the holidays and work.

Anyone who's been with the site long would know that no one is trying to steal from or take advantage of our membership. If something was donated to give away it's going to get to the members. December just happens to have had a massive hiccup this year.

Oh, sorry, I wasn't trying to imply that at all! I can see where it might have looked like that, so I apologize.

I was simply saying that, if somebody donated something for the giveaway and was asking about what was going on, they really should get an answer. I meant it as kind of a contrast to somebody like myself, who having contributed nothing to the event, does not feel like I am owed anything as far as an explanation, or even a continuation of the giveaway.
