Super cool, but probably not practical for really large collections (too expensive when cheaper yet significantly less cool alternatives are readily available). Amazon UK had a 2x2 brick bin coming in at £13.99...about $22 USD for a 10" x 10" x 7" bin.

okay those are pretty cool. with enough of those you can make your own furniture. too bad it's cost prohibitive.

Definitely not cost effective to store LEGO in, but I will have to pick up one for something.

If I was a cigar guy I think one could make a cool humidor.

If you were a "real cigar guy" that called himself a "real cigar guy", you'd go out and blow $50-60 on a box that keeps them at the perfect humidity like my buddy did. He actually bought one, ruined it by treating it with the wrong kind of water, and went out and bought another one...

Anyway, these bins aren't all that great to me. Novel, sure, but there's too much wrong with them even outside of cost (namely they'd be hard to store being so oddly shaped, unless the brick ones fit together... which leads to point 2: they're too small, and if they fit together, that's just wasted space)

I think I've seen the large brick shaped containers on the shop at home site before, but I'm not entirely sure.

For a split second there, I wondered why the tops had half-circle cut-outs on the bottoms, why didn't they make them perfect replicas of LEGO bricks? Of course, it makes them easy to lift apart. Then, I imagined a giant 3 foot brick separator tool.

Pity they don't have a small window were you can see the content? I much prefer some idea of what I've got inside, than go L.D. 'ing (Lego digging)

I've seen those minifig head containers at my walmart. They're supposed to sort the pieces out by size.
