Anyone know it the Hoth battlepacks are on sale for $10 too or just the Clone Wars ones? I checked online and didn't see the Hoth battlepacks on Targets website, but I know I've seen lots of them in stores as recent as last week.

On Sunday I saw all 4 battle packs at $10.00... Also, if I'm not mistaken all other SW sets had some kind of discount for this weeks sale not just the ones seen in the newspaper AD.

This may be bordering on blasphemy, but I'm not sure I even want to pay $20 for the Ewok Attack. I like the concept of the set, but so much of it is a hideous tree-like thing with what appears to be a in-trunk Ewok port-a-potty.

All the target stores in my neck of the woods have all of the SW stuff on sale this week, old and new. Everything SW on the shelf is marked down. The most notable are the new Falcon ($125), Podracers ($80), Sith Infiltrator ($62), and Clone Turbo Tank ($109). Outside of the battlepacks, everything is at least $5 off. Not a great sale, but takes the edge off a little bit.

I'm inclined to agree. I went to Target yesterday planning on picking up the Ewok Attack to add to my Battle of Endor and my original Ewok Attack set. Yet when I got there and took a long look at the box, I just couldn't bring myself to buying the monstrosity.

For what it's worth, some stores (all stores?) are offering substitutions and rain checks on sold-out items. Saw Pharaoh's Quest Flying Mummy Attack for $17 (in liu of a Spongebob set) and Hogwarts Castle for $116 (in liu of Millennium Falcon). There were also rain check tags for those sets and a few others. Woulda picked up Hogwarts, but they were out of those, too!

throughout the store, there were many $5-$10 gift card deals, so I had to buy printer ink anyways and found a special package with printer ink and 1000 sheets of paper for $19.99 (ink by itself was $17) and it came with a $5 gift card. Used the gift card on ewok set to get a total discount of $10 so I think $15 is pretty good! They also had $10 gift card if you bought two printer ink cartridges at $30 ($15 each). Better deal but did not need 2 ink cartridges.

I'll wait for a better sale than $20 if I can't wait for clearance. I'd even go full price at the LEGO store during a double points promotion. I don't know if I said this on here or on Rebelscum, but I really find it hard to justify this because about a year ago you could still get Echo Base for the same RRP and get 5 figs, a Tauntaun and worthy "set" pieces (turret, trench bit and E-web). Another Ewok or a Scout (even sans speeder bike) would help with the value on this set.

Justifying the "do I want X LEGO set at Y price" factor which is a large part of the decision making process. That can even override the "OMG cool must have" factor.

Kinda glad they were out of the Falcon at my Target last night. Got the rain check, locking in $125, but hoping for a better sale before I break down and buy it.

I picked the Ewok Attack twice off the shelf and both times it went back on the shelf. I agree that $20 is just too much for an ugly tree and three figs. If Lego had swapped out the speeder for another AT-ST like ithe one in the Endor Bunker and made a simpler tree, it would have been worth $25. I would have also swapped the fancy new ewok mold for a few more generic ewoks.

You know, it's funny, I feel this same way about the Freeco Speeder set (which is at the same price point). I found one as a 20% off damaged item in a lego shop today, and I'd have to say it's the most badly mangled box I've seen for sale - looks like it was almost flattened at one point. So if the set is still in good enough condition to sell...that means that the pieces just aren't that big, since nothing was apparently damaged when the box was flattened as it was, which then makes me really question piece count and value. And a 20% off discount only puts it to $20.00 - not nearly enough of a discount for that set to begin with (again reference value), and certainly not in that condition.

Were it priced at $15? OK, maybe then.
