Introducing the T-Wing Heavy Interceptor! Developed by a joint contract with Incom and SubPro corporations, the T-Wing Heavy Interceptor remains a prototype. Despite a large order being placed by the Judicial Department, only one has been built, and painted in Coruscant red.

T-Wing is aptly named due to its dorsal view that resembles a lower case "t".

The Republic R-Wing Fighter

The R-Wing features an R2-Q2 astrometric droid with pilot and room for a single passenger. Know for its stubby broad nose and heavy forward armaments. This fighter was perfect for getting through enemy lines.

here's my entry: a lower case a wing fighter.

here's our pilot. with his lower case.

Image
lego and that 045 by captain sambuca, on Flickr

the lower case a wing was designed after the disaster that was hoth: hoth was a nightmare, and the blame can be squarely put at the door of those wretched snowspeeders: they took two pilots to fly, they were too bulky to transport, the weaponry wasn't good enough to take down imperial walkers and they couldn't even cope with a bit of cold. rubbish.

these new lower case a wings though- now we're talking!

great competition fellas! you certainly got me thinking! bob on.

top job.

Republic E-Wing.

Manufacturing company: Slayn & Korpil

Description: Small medium range attack and defence unit.

Power plant: Dudex JZ-4 Fusial thrust engines.

Armament: Nose mounted Gyril 68 Twin Laser Blasters.
Opposing midship KrupX MG4 Proton Torpedo Launchers.
ArMek Wingtip AGI Ion Cannon Assembly.

An economical answer to a thriving government the E-Wing was initially produced as a patrol vehicle for the district surrounds of Coruscant and later re equipped to suit short range sorties on the growing pirate threat.

Fast and terrestrially agile with a full compliment of sensors within the unhoused array that was centrally mounted on the ships fore, they were a perfect policing craft.

The pilots 'pod' was detachable and capable of atmospheric transfer should the need arise as was the droid section able to separate and be flown using the smaller Vector Correction outlets on a return to ship basis.

With a relatively cheap core structure and low shield capacity the E-Wings main cost came from the outfitting of the various weapons configurations. As it's intended use was of a non militaristic nature the wing mounts needed considerable strengthening to support the added mass and recoil of an Ion Generator.

Even so this did not put the craft at odds for it's class when converted for different roles and even afforded large squadrons that could attack on mass giving the illusion of a greater threat.

Because of the success of the E-Wing several other models were designed specifically for battle but not put into production, except for the somewhat cumbersome H-60 Tempest bomber which saw limited action during the final years of the Republic.

These designs were later resurected for the Shantipole Project and included the B-Wing and B-Wing/E Starfighters.

Due to its modular nature many retired E-Wings found their way into the hands of scrap merchants and sold off to the general populace as parts, of particular note was the wings easy conversion into Ion Security Turrets.

Introducing the Republic V-Wing by Veda Industries
Category: Multi-role (primarily air-to-air) Attack Fighter
Power Plant: Unknown
Range: Unknown
Armament: 2X Plasma Laser Cannons
Droid Socket(s): 1

Using the newest "Directional Thrust" technology for flight, the V-Wing can outperform/maneuver most craft its size. Building off of an earlier concept platform, the V-Wing is capable of fast directional control due to engine motion control (EMC-Drive™) coupled with multiple wing control surfaces. Thrusters below allow for the V-Wing to be hover launched or catapult launched using the Tagguren Launch System by the T&E Corporation on most deep space carriers.

Veda Industries have also revealed the patent pending DroidBOOT™, which will allow for even more devastation in combat scenarios where upon the fighter can be controlled even if the pilot is no longer alive.

Whew, first build I have finished since the airspeeder contest on here about 6 years ago.

This is the Rebellion against the Empire's C-Wing (Curved-Wing) Starfighter. It was initially designed and built for the Old Republic, as the coloring shows, however the end to the war with the Separatists and formation of the Empire ended its production. The Rebels managed to come across a number of these starfighters and immediately put them into service.

Equipped with 2 long range laser cannons, 2 short range rapid blasters, and significant armor plating made this fighter deadly in dogfights. It's curved wing design presented significant surface area to protect against crossfire, while protecting it's engines and vitals.

Here is the Starfighter from the front, showing its "C" shape.

I started Building this the first day I saw the contest and finished yesterday. It also has alot of playablility for minifigs. Sorry for the bad quality, I dont have a good camera. The main wings are connected to look like an "O", and they are lego city plane wings. I borrowed one from my cousin and the other was from a set I bought myself.

The killin' goose!

Postby jansued » Thu Jul 28, 2011 8:11 am

Hello!

In the never ending mission to build the ugliest fighter in the Galaxy, I am more or less proud to present the W-Wing ("The killin' goose").

Made for deep space ARC Missions - especially to destroy medium vessels like frigates etc. - it was an early predecessor of the Y-Wing. It had an awful punch with 4 double laser turrets, 2 Ion cannons, 2 BFG mass driver canons, 4 Torpedos, 2 Ion Bombs and 6 F&F Anti-Fighter Rockets. The main disadvantage was its non existing manouver capabilities.

The pilots developed the "Chicken tactic": A direct, frontal attack with all weapons system and than a fast escape - just to prepare the next attack run.

This time, the astromech is protected and lying -in the front sensor bay!

Good luck to all the competitors!

G.A.R.E.T. Class Heavy Starfighter or G-Fighter (!).

Postby _nours » Fri Jul 29, 2011 2:10 pm

Hi everyone,
here is the "crème de la crème" of the fighters, the G.A.R.E.T.( Gyroscopic Asymmetrical Rover with Experimental Turbo-laser) Class Heavy Starfighter or G-Fighter.This fighter with its gyroscopic-reptilian moves is almost unreachable by its opponents in dogfight, its rotating turbo-lasers are the most powerful weapon amongst all the others starfighters, its BIG ion cannon is devastating , it's faster than an A-Wing or a T.I.E. Interceptor, far powerful than a B-Wing , better maneuverable than a X-Wing, easy to handle BUT the main problem of this beast ,that no one managed to fix : the air conditioning! Due to all the gyroscopic systems, main and secondary thrusters and all the sensors, the heat inside the cockpit is unbearable even for the Tatooine natives !(Mustafar natives are welcome).Image

Hope you'll enjoy the (sweaty) ride!
BTW, this fighter has a few Letter-Attack-Mode ( E,F,U,C,J,S & l maybe others...), have a glance at my Filckr !

Alright. Finally done after a month of work. month of work. Here we go.

Showing off the Q.

And here is the Astromech. I actually just sticker'd up a blank body and head so it would match the sand blue of the rest of the ship.

And the pilot with HUD. I decided since I was using an opaque windshield to go all out with fancy dancy controls

E-wing

E-wing was prototype made by New Republic. It featured glass cockpit with anti-gravity device.
Pilot controls the ship using controlers attached to back of the cockpit.
Only weapons are 4 blaster cannons - 2 on each side of the cockpit.
Because of low armament, it has for for strong thrusters and two strong engines placed
in "wings" of E-wing. E-wing is really fast even in the atmposphere, due to hollow body and aerodinamic cockpit.
It's able to go into hyperspace and it was made to be fast as Imperial TIE fighters.
But, do to high cost of anti-gravity device only few prototypes were produced and this fast starfighter never
saw battlefield.

Enjoy the MOC.

My turn now ...so here is the P-wing

It's a classical star-wars style fighter with a light but efficient canon.
I have tried to stay in a classical star wars style and not be too extravagant. My aim was to design a ship which could exist in SW.
As you can see, it's obviously a "p", but when you look at it rear, it's a "q" which is funny in French because the letter "q" sounds like the word "a.s.s" (the dot are because we can't write "sarlacc" on the forum) ... hum...whatever .. XD

many details, and other views available on the album : P-wing by Bayou

so the letter "p":

the side :

Thanks for this great contest idea, may the luck be with you...
