[VOTE] 2011 Podracer Challenge Fan Favorite/Qualifying Round

The picture you took of your podracer (the one I found anyway) didn't follow the posted rules. As you may notice, all the podracer images in the voting round are oriented the same way - "cockpit pod in the back/left, engines in the front right" as stated in the rules. Your submitted image faces the wrong direction and isn't a complete shot of the podracer.

Now, I'm not an admin, a mod or anyone important, but the most obvious violated rule is this one:

3 votes. I'm in no-man's land... it'll remain to be seen whether I squeeze into the end or not (not keeping my hopes up).
Lesson learned: This'll probably be the last time I make anything Galidor-themed.

I'm referring to the Fan Favorite prize, since roguefx got the most votes in the qualifying round.

congrats to all that qualified... and even to those that didn't. there are many creations up here that i thought deserved way more votes than they got... i'm sure it was just a case of way too hard to choose between so many great ships.

i'll count mine as a moral victory. i can't believe i got more than one vote... thanks, mom. i didn't even know you were on fbtb.

Also I want to thank those FBTBers who voted for my Hagrid Dragon Pod Racer...

I know some may be put off by the fact that my Dragons are a MOD of the Ninjago Ice Dragon. I honestly almost didn't even enter because I wasn't happy with my efforts at MOC Dragons and didn't really want to do Dragon Shaped Mechanical Engines.

My hope was that the concept was strong enough to overcome the drawback of the execution.

Anyway, happy to compete regardless of the outcome and thrilled to have qualified for the Race. Now we'll see how good Hagrid is driving his team in the heat of competition when it counts...

Oh yeah, hope to see everyone in the HybridFighter contest where my BTL-TE will be 100% MOC from the ground up!

I concur, there were a ton of great racers and it seemed that some didn't get the proper recognition. It was great fun looking at what everyone came up with.

There were some tough choices. Those who garnered the most votes deserved it. I am a bit disappointed mine bombed, but not surprised, it just doesn't have the personality many others have. It represents my first and last 'Prince of Persia' moc.

Like Chief said, I wished I'd had 10 votes to spread around, and I think if everyone had 10 votes, some of the others that should have got recognition bot didn't, may have. Of course, maybe the same few would have just been further away from the rest of them.

This is just the Star Wars fan in me bursting out, but I would like to see a return to the Star Wars-based podracer contest next time around. It was what inspired me to join FBTB, so I felt a teensy bit discouraged when I couldn't unleash my inner Star Wars geek for this contest.

That said, the Hybridfighter contest will allow me to do this, so I truly don't care. It's probably just "I got 3 votes" discontentment
