Star Wars Miniland Promotional Video

Postby Staff » Thu Mar 17, 2011 10:27 am

LEGO PR sent over a few videos early this morning, two of which I won't show since they are part of the video above. It gives a sneak peak into what's in store for Star Wars Miniland, how it was constructed, and the people behind the scenes. Star Wars Miniland officially opens to the public on Thursday March 31. See you there!

Awesome! But what's up with the audio being off so much?

Anyone know exactly what sort of glue he's using to keep the pieces together? He keeps touching pieces to something in the video - that I'm assuming is glue. I can't figure out how the glue keeps getting replenished though?

He's using a stamp pad for the glue. There's a pool of glue in the basin of the tin, and a cloth that soaks up the glue and onto the surface of the pad. The pieces get a little dab of glue when they hit the stamp pad. And the fact that the pieces he's holding sometimes appear to make little or no contact with the pad is ... something something. :'(

I assumed he wasn't speaking English and they just dubbed it over, but I could be wrong.

I can't decide if this would be the most tedious job ever or the most awesome one. On the one hand, you're getting paid to build LEGO models, on the other.... just look at it. And can you imagine "Oh crap, I missed a step a hundred pages ago!"
