I'm not often one to go commenting on minis as I'm not a genius mini-builder, but the middle leg looks a bit unweildy.

Otherwise I'll be glad to get it. :D

Now see, it seems to me like there are too many good things to make in mini scale that haven't already been done to be re-doing one that has. Though I admit that, aside from the oversized center leg, this does look like an improvement.

That's just weird. . . as someone already pointed out, it's been done. Also, I don't think this is an improvement over the first incarnation. Glad I didn't sign up for Brickmaster this year. . .

Nice set, but I'll be modding those center legs immediately after building.

I don't like it for two reasons.
The middle leg is to big.
The other reason is that I start to dislike these following things more and more.
All the nice things are for the USA:
The 3 (including this one) mini's for Brickmaster, the Ultimate Space Battle, 3219, chrome Darth Vader, golden C3PO.
and I can mention a dozen more. Prices are much lower in $ than Euro's.
Europe is a forgotten market although Lego is a European company.
Why not share these things equally.
I like the Star Wars Lego to much, otherwise I would start a campaign against them.

Here's a thought...what if this set isn't the regular AT-TE, but instead an AT-TE variant that we haven't seen yet on Clone Wars? (Kinda like how the Hyena Bomber's available in set form, but hasn't appeared on the show thus far.)

But it doesn't look any different to the regular AT-TE, except for the middle leg, which seems like a building choice.

For a mini AT-TE, it looks pretty good in my opinion.

I haven't seen the previous incarnation, and so I look forward to receiving this set when it comes out. I'm relatively easy to please.

What is the point of making two minis of the same kind when there are so many vehicles in the star wars universe

For some reason the mass re-making of previous ships/vehicles makes me think the newer sets are less great than they actually (probably) are. If They hadn't already made a mini AT-TE... I'd probably like this more. It's like the new, smaller, Falcon... I like that ship as much as the next guy (but somewhat less than Pepa Quin most likely) and I'm just tired of seeing it. I remember having to order most of the first run of minis (for lack of finding them in stores where I lived), but I'm thinking these newer ones are more impulse purchases I'd have to "run into" in a store. On the other hand, I do think the newer system scale AT-TE was quite a nice improvement over the first.

I for one wish they would bring back the retail SW minikits. I was a huge fan and even though the building community seems to be happy creating there own, I loved TLC's sets. Especially if they have printed parts like the Falcon or the AT-TE. Does anyone know if they have more in the works or just exclusives unavailable to us non Yanks? Clone Wars alone is full of new vehicles and there were already tons of models not done! :S
