Here's the link for those interested in Lego sculptures with loads of blue bricks: http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=Qfq2SUmeSyM&subid=&offerid=115554.1&type=10&tmpid=2294&RD_PARM1=http%253A%252F%252Fshop.lego.com%252FByTheme%252FProduct.aspx%253Fp%253D10155schlectus wrote:I suppose some justification could involve all the "rare" Maersk blue bricks (well, duh!)...bearing that in mind makes the price/part ratio not too entirely horrible, if you're willing to accept the aftermarket price-hike on that color. But yeah...$120...that is quite a bit to swallow, especially with things like Diagon Alley beginning to surface. I'll pick one up anyway...I've been wanting one of these for awhile, and it beats having to pay the premium coinage that the old versions demanded. Has anybody seen these in the retail LEGO stores in the States?

The rumors that you have heard are untrue. To my knowledge the blue color of the Maersk product line is a specific color for Maersk and is therefore considered in licensing agreements with the company when we create the container ships and other items. The Maersk Container ship is really a beautiful set and I am sure that you will be happy with not only the colors, but the build itself!

And they replied:LEGO wrote:Thanks for getting in touch with us.

I understand there were 3 versions, the first version was only given to the employees, then they changed the maersk blue and made a 2nd version available to the public, now this version which should be the same as the second except for extra pieces and stickers as noted.
