[TS] Andy's Room

My latest project recreates the 'set' from Toy Story 2. This layout is 30"x30" and is sized to fit within the layouts of the Northern Illinois Lego Train Club. The actual 'scale' this is based on puts the room at around 16 feet square.

A few changes have been made to the actual room in the movie. Since this is meant to be seen, one wall needed to be taken out. The missing wall contains the main door to Andy's room - the door on the side is just a closet. Because of this, the dresser and shelves had to be relocated. Fortunately there was plenty of open space - those corners were mostly empty in the movie.

For those of you in the Chicago area who would like to see this in person, this will be going on display for the first time at the Northern Illinois Lego Train Club's Christmas Show in Wheaton, Illinois, Dec. 11th and 12th. I will also be bringing this to Brickworld 2011 as well as numerous smaller local shows all year round.

After seeing the first picture, I thought "Those minifigures, the floor, and that globe look good, but why use doll-house furniture instead of Lego for the rest of it?" After a closer look, my face is like this:

Yeeehaw! This is the rootn'est tootn'est Toy Story MOC I've seen since that life-size claw machine! This is amazingly beautiful! So large and so detailed, from Andy's bed to the Luxo lamp, it's nearly pefect! Bo Peep and Etch are nice additions to the TS minifig line-up, but I really think you should have put Wheezy in there too. You could have used one of The Penguin's penguins as him. Also, the Indy and SW posters are a bit random, but I guess the walls would have been too boring without them.
Overall, I absolutely love it! Thanks for making my day! Is there any chance you could recreate some movie scenes for us?

PS: Now I regret not picking up one of those fairy keychains.
