Apparently I'm considered a new member too, and have 0 posts. :S Even if I click on "0 posts", I see my total of two. I want to vote, too!

Ah well ,best of luck to everyone else who entered.

It's because he has less than 5 posts.
I build it so you don't have to!

To be perfectly honest, I don't know how the "newly register members" group was formed. I thought I did, but I was wrong after looking at who's in there. It's up to Ace to disclose the sorting alithogram though, and I doubt he'll spill it. The point of making the group was to aid in the elimination of forum spam, which it's done a fantastic job so far; and to ensure no one could create extra accounts to drive polls in their favor. If Ace explained how the thing worked, anyone could easily register and post as needed to clear the hurdle, and the whole point would be moot.

That is completely my fault, and I am deeply sorry for screwing up. At some point during the gathering of entries into the voting grid yours must have got deleted somehow. It was not intentional though, merely an unfortunate error. I can't add it to the poll without the risk of invalidating the 100 votes so far and starting over completely, but as a consolation I will include a special apology to you in the main page post when I prepare the final poll. Sound like a deal? :(

I've put in a hot fix. You should be able to vote now. If not now then the final phase of voting.

My sincerest apologies for all the troubles this contest is causing. Please believe me when I say that this is not for nothing. It's important we work out these issues now so that future contests will run more smoothly and fairly. ESPECIALLY the next contest. It's going to be epic. Probably the biggest contest we've ever run.

Were the entire poll and votes reset with that fix? It looks like all the votes've been wiped.

(EDIT-) Was a little too fast– just saw the frontpage post about it.

Don't cry Don! If you cry, then I'll cry. And people don't want to see a 6 foot, 250 pound man cry...

Can you come across and run the British election please? I like the idea of chaos come May 7th! ;) If they're too busy sorted out the voting perhaps they'll leave the country alone long enough not to stuff it up.

Will new members like myself get a chance to vote, or do we need to make more posts to change our status ?

There's a lesson here, somewhere.

Wow, clearly people's tastes are just as varied and unexpected as their MOC's! When does the next phase of voting begin?
