Cheers, I was all ready to be online waiting to try to grab some bargains. But, yet again, all the ones I wanted were sold out before it started! Local stores no use either. Oh well!

was in my local tesco on thurs day and they had them at £20, was a touch anoyyed payed £30 when they came out only to see them drop a week later!! so i feel your pain, sayin that it would appear that the price of the mf at tesco goes up and down a lot must either be very popular or not so much.

I was in Tesco's a couple of days ago and got the Midi Falcon for £20.... bargain... I've just looked online but ALL the star wars lego is sold out on that, so maybe look back later on Tesco's online to see if they restock (but I doubt they will during a discount) or hunt in stores... although my local store which is huuuuge has only had the battle packs + Midi falcon + lukes speeder available.
For UK buyers if you go to www.play.com they have quite a few sets at lower prices (Rebel Battle Pack £8.49) save £1.50, (Snowtrooper BP £8.99) save £1, (Assasin Droid's BP £8.99) save £1, (Hyena Drid Bomber £17.99) save £4, (Clone-wars Y-wing £44.99) save £5, (Tie Defender £35.49) save £4.50.... and also look at Amazon UK as they have quite a few sets on less than retail prices.... and both Play.com & Amazon have free delivery as well.... this is great for the UK really as we rarely have any sort of disoucnt available online....

I got both lucky and unlucky with this. I'd been wanting to pick up the Falcon for £20, but my local Tesco kept putting £40 as the asking price, so i couldn't get one... then this offer came along at the very same time as they corrected the price instore to reflect the online price. So i was able to pick up 3 for £40. (one for me, and one for each of my two nephews).
Unfortunately, the sale also meant that all the other lego was out of stock, so the Vader's Tie Fighter (which is what i'd been going for) was all gone.

But i'm happy with my Midi Falcon for under £15. It's a beautiful build, very satisfying to make, and cleverly constructed. My favourite set yet, and it sets a benchmark for the rest of the designers to aim for. (shame about the stickers though).

Just come back from Tesco's earlier... surprise surprise all the star wars stuff was gone except for about 10 Assasin's BP's and a single Midi-Falcon... I got 6 of the Toy Story (Army men on patrol's) instead and the 3 for 2 offer was valid in store as well...

Argos have a whole £10 off the Tie Defender its now 29.99 rather than the usual 39.99
