Oh yes, the Tri-fighter, Tie Defender and Freeco are also available... I have them already, so didn't think to mention them. I think the new land speeder is still to come for the January sets though?

and the Arc-170 is also there, the landspeeder has not been put up yet but i expect that to be very soon.

I recall mention that the Landspeeder was a Wal*Mart Exclusive. If this is the case would not expect to see this set until February 2010, so as not to compete with the January 2010 releases. This would seem to be the marketing case with Exclusives carried by other retailers in the past.

I was surprised to find that a local Target (Phoenix, AZ) was carrying a small portion of the new sets, including the ARC-170, TIE Defender, and Construct-a-Buzz.

Usually the Targets here are pretty late with the new sets, so this was a pleasant surprise for me.

Hopefully Lego's sales will plummet in Canada this year so they give their head a shake and stop trying to rip us off. Right now it's probably cheaper to order all our Lego from US sellers on ebay.

Does anyone have any idea when the Landspeeder will hit S@H? I have a $25 lego gift card burning a hole in my wallet!

My wife picked me up one just before Christmas. It was the biggest surprise, I didn't think she would be able to find any of the new sets before Christmas. (specifically asked her not to shop TRU)

I will be at the Sacramento Lego store this weekend, I will see what info they have.

In the Frankfurt Lego Store they don't know when the Landspeeder will arrive. Actually it should have been released together with the other new sets. They hope that it comes next week, but promise nothing and don't make any reservations.

It looks as though all of the new Atlantis sets are now available on S@H, too:

Swamp speeder and Luke's Speeder

Postby bobalego » Fri Jan 01, 2010 2:02 pm

They were not on LEGO.com this morning (U.S.A. 9.a.m EST) and now they are. Luke's Speeder is already on backorder but swamp speeder is currently available.

I was at my Wal-Mart today, and I went to see if they had any new sets out- they had nothing, they were all cleared out, I asked a worker if they had any new sets in, he said they did,but they weren't gonna put them out until the 10th. makes me so mad when they wait, but he asked me if I was looking for anything, so he got me the Swamp Speeder, and Landspeeder :)

This markup on the star wars license sets is getting out of control. I picked up a landspeeder today at walmart for 24.99 and it felt like a 19.99 set in my hand. The swamp speeder is just another example. Does the license cost break down to a 20-25% increase per set?
eBay store, contact me if you'd like to perform trades from my inventory. I'm looking for original genosian fighers, second version a-wing fighters and tie bombers. I may be interested in other sets so let me know what you have.

Yeah I literally thought this thread was about sets spotted in stores, so I posted my own thread and obviously a moderator moved my comment in here. (Rightfully so, I will pay attention better next time.)

Forced myself to the nearest WalMart yesterday, and they had virtually NO LEGO at all.

I had a chance to get to one farther away this morning and lo and behold: got the last land speeder on the shelf, and both new battle packs.

WalMart on Pleasant Hill Rd. near Gwinnett Place, for those in the Altanta area.

The WalMart with NOTHING is on Hwy 29 at Lester Road near Lawrenceville, so don't bother with that one.

The Lego store in Sacramento, was sold out of the ARC 170, hadn't received and swamp or luke's speeders yet but was well stocked on both battle packs, Tie Defenders and Droid Tri Fighters.

I didn't ask about each of the Atlantis set but it seems all of the larger sets that came in sold out quick. I arrived just prior to the store opening at 11 am Jan 1st and there was at least 30-40 kids clawing at the doors to get in, it was an amazing site :).
