At the risk of sounding ignorant, how do I embed an image (not a link) in a post?

Useful link

If it's an image on your computer you want to embed you can't, you need to upload it to an image hosting site, i.e. Brickshelf, Flickr, etc.
When you embed the image on the boards the link needs to be between the image tags;
Code: Select all
 [img][/img]
And the URL you link within must end with .jpg or .png

If you use Brickshelf you have to click on the image 2 or 3 times until there is nothing in the window but the image. (The url will then end with .jpg, .gif or .png, not some code) Make sure the image fits the guidelines.
If you use Flickr then click "All sizes" while on the image page, choose a size that fits the guidelines, right click, image properties, copy the image address, use that.
I;m not sure about other image hosts.
