Well since the set came with an AT-TE, rather than an AT-OT, I figured you made a mistake when you asked for construction pics.

Well since the set came with an AT-TE, rather than an AT-OT, I figured you made a mistake when you asked for construction pics.

that is true, but then, this combo of Dropship and AT-TE had Clone Troopers in it, so it has bet that expectation. It's just not met it in a way that it comes with minifigures!

That IS nice! But you didn't mention a MOC AT-OT in your first post and the Flikr photostream wasn't mentioned anywhere else in the thread so I figured you wanted the AT-TE.

The $50 price at the Comic Con might seem excessive - but here's something to compare that to. You can not get either model as a retail set. You can build them using LDD (although not 100% as some pieces are not available in the right colors) - however the cost for the LDD model would be $39.32 ($21.60 for the Dropship, $17.72 for the AT-TE). Of course, going through Bricklink or other source for bricks would be cheaper if you have the instructions.

So what you're saying is that this is one of the VERY VERY VERY few that actually costs more retail than the parts do a la carte from either Bricklink or online PaB? Yep, that is expensive.

bigospedros created this really great MINI AT-OT MOC to accompany the SDCC MINI Republic Dropship. Based on the pics he posted on flickr I recreated his model and made instructions for it.


Instructions (change the file extension to .pdf after downloading)

There is one difference, for the undercarriage (between the legs)I used 3 2x2 Round bricks to fill the spaces between the brick 1x1 Headlights where bigospedros indicated to me that he used inverted slopes.

They look awesome But $50, wow... I don't think they are worth that much. I bet I could rebuild and it would cost cheaper.
