Does anyone notice that's Captain Antilles' head had a smiley mouth while the normal rebel trooper has a serious one?!

I never knew LEGO would pay that much attention to detail...

I think that this is actually better than I expected. Printed elements first and foremost Stickers on plastic are like tatoos. Sure they might look good at first if you're lucky, but as they age they become deformed, and a game is made out of guessing what they were supposed to be originally.

Anyway I have no issue with the price seeing as how its better than most other sets you see. The minifig assortment is also pleasing. Overall a set I'm all for purchasing come September!

I was pretty dissapointed about the fact that they didn't build Tantive in a way which included the walkway with the iconic wall panels where the shootout takes place.

That was a must have for a new Tantive IV. Instead we get a crappy office area...

Given the overall size constraints of the set I am fairly sure you would have been just as disappointed if they had tried to jam the corridor into it. That interior area is no more than about 8x12 studs.

I would much prefer a separate "corridor playset". A few decent size modular sections of corridor that can be clipped together in different arrangements. Buy two sets to make your corridor twice as long.

You've got height constraints as well. I think what's there is pretty good.

I'm with Fetty, the interior doesn't seem that bad to me. The control module is actually pretty cool-looking. As he said, you'd be hard-pressed to fit a decent-looking vignette in there (not to discourage anyone from trying, though! ). For those that really want a good LEGO representation of the corridor showdown in A New Hope, a playset would probably be the way to go. And to be honest, there are some really great mocs out there, so I'm not sure LEGO could produce a corridor playset that would look any better than anything we've seen before.

Thats why they shold of made it bigger at least twice its like building a MF and you cant even put any men in there then couple years later build a UCS that can put men in there.

OVERALL: I think this is a great value set for 150 dollars for nearly 1400 pieces in the set you be hard pressed to find a ratio like that, I think.

At least the desk looks well designed, not just a 4x2 plate on a 2x2 block. This looks to be a much better build then the republic cruiser. Seems the design team at TLG is taking in more techniques that AFOL's use in their MOC's. Although the main turbolasers don't look quite defined to me. Well, it can be Modified. Still hella excited for it though.

Just curious, but what would you have done differently, other than its size (which would keep adding cost)? I think the size/price is a good harmony between what looks good and what people will be willing to pay.

Do you have a Captain Antilles minifg already? Did you custom make one? But what other minifigs could have been in this set? I'm sure you also have Darth Vader and stormtroopers, too.

I'm thinking that its a pretty nice set for $150. Doesn't seem to be ridiculously overpriced. I'll most likely be picking it up as my last set of the year.

meh might end up in toysrus.com eventually sometimes target too I thought the home set was toyrsu only and then I saw at the lego store nearby me.

To my knowledge, Toys R Us Exclusives are always available at the LEGO Store and S@H, but it's rarely vice-versa.

Well on shop@home it is labeled "exclusive" so I'd guess its a lego exclusive, and therefore only available on line or in lego stores. Just guessing though.
