New 2010 sets!!!????

The one on the right is definitely a speeder and what looks to be a base with a flick-fire missle device. I have no idea what is on the left side, however.

It is also interesting to note when the two boxes are displayed like in the picture, the two opposing battle packs seem to be fighting each other.

i am positive the one on the left is a rebel BP and the right, a snowie BP, because in past BP's, the 'good guys' are always on the left side in the battle scenes

What about episode 3 Battle Pack. The Clones were on the right.

It seems to me that during and right after Order 66 the clones just went on their merry way blasting battle droids.

And regarding Dooku, that was the whole master plan wasn't it? So why wouldn't he?

I believe a lot of the latest sets related to the Old Trilogy have came in the Clone Wars package (I am actually pretty much sure of it), so that is not an issue here.

8038 "The Battle of Endor", 7749 "Echo Base" and 7754 "Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser" all have classic black Star Wars box art, with yellow(!) Luke, Leia and Han posing in the upper right corner. I would expect LEGO to continue this with any future OT sets.

I believe that this is going to be an OT Hoth-based battlepack (SCHWEET!), but it seems odd to me at least that TLG would do this. I mean, if they sell battlepacks at $10 each, with 4 hoth rebels and 4 snow troopers in their respective rebel/imperial battlepacks, that means that you can get twice as many hoth minifigs for $5 cheaper than if you bought the 7749 Echo Base set. And people have pointed out that there might possibly be a tauntaun in one of the battelpacks? No way. You'd have to be crazy to buy any of the 7749s if the battlepack had a tauntaun.

Conversely, I don't think this could be a CW based battlepack either, even if they modeled it after the "Trespass" episode. They wouldn't have one battlepack filled with Talz, which were the opponents of the clones. That I think would be awesome, but there's no way that's gonna happen. So, the only real explanation is a Hoth battlepack of some sort.

This is a Star Wars Lego Forum, every thread is instantly a geek-out thread.

But we're not derailed, just on a tangent and as soon as everybody sees it my way we can confirm that the "evil on the left, good on the right" rule for battle packs still holds. So we can apply that rule to the blurry mess of pixels that everyone is worked up about and prove... absolutely nothing.

Just to be clear, the Episode III battle pack is not a battle pack, just a box full of evil... An evil pack... or horde.. Palpatine's evil horde pack box full of bad.
