New 2010 sets!!!????

I found a video on youtube about 2010 sets.

Anyone know what it is?

From the looks of it, it's a set of Empire Strikes Back battle packs. Snowtroopers and a speeder bike and what appears to be a few Rebel snow troops with a pilot.

Looks to me like a blurred video of existing sets, just to create some mess about nothing really new.

no it was in the area that makes 2010 sets (saw it in a video about home one).

they are battle packs cause they are in a line with other BPs i just dont understand what is the rebel vehicle

No question...those are battle packs. It's nearly impossible to tell what comes with the Rebels. Probably some made up vehicle similar to 7668.

I don't know why, but the vehicle in that BP that has the Rebel Pilot looks to me like a crashed snowspeeder.

but, if you look closely at those sets (in the full video), the box design seems to be of that of a clone wars set (similar to the summer sets this year), and not OT

I believe a lot of the latest sets related to the Old Trilogy have came in the Clone Wars package (I am actually pretty much sure of it), so that is not an issue here.

We can't see much of what's there, but it looks a lot like Rebels and Imperials.

8038 "The Battle of Endor", 7749 "Echo Base" and 7754 "Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser" all have classic black Star Wars box art, with yellow(!) Luke, Leia and Han posing in the upper right corner. I would expect LEGO to continue this with any future OT sets.

On the other side the 7778 Mid-Scale Falcon comes in a CW box, so... I guess we can't take any conclusion yet..

Regarding the box art - 8038 "The Battle of Endor", 7749 "Echo Base" and 7754 "Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser" have old original style box art, probably because they are being released in the LSW tenth aniversary year. I wouldn't expect that packaging design to continue in 2010.

A valid point. Plus, snow-themed troopers of both factions are currently in production for the Hoth set and have been for a while for previous Hoth sets (like the TRU exclusive 7666). From a cost efficiency standpoint, it makes total sense to crank out more and use up any surplus for battle packs now while the opportunity presents itself.

Plus, there are certain things we can conclude based on precedent:

-battle packs alternate between PT and OT for every release wave
-at any given time you're likely to have 2-4 battle packs available at retail

With the retirement of 7667 and 7668, we're due for a couple of new ones. I'd say there's enough evidence in this one video to make a pretty strong conclusion. I'd say we're gonna have some new OT battle backs in the "January 2010" wave. I just hope that if that is a pilot in the Rebel set that we get a new/unique helmet.

Hoth battle packs seem a bit redundant seeing as we got both factions in the Echo Base set. However, given the pattern of alternating PT and OT with the battle packs, Hoth seems entirely possible, since the last wave was ANH-themed. With natural progression and with help from the Endor Bunker set, we could be seeing some nice Endor BPs in 2011 using those great Endor Rebel troops.

As for the Rebel pilot, I wouldn't be surprised if he was another blue-logo helmeted Dack.

I could live with that. That is the most ubiquitous and generic helmet in ANH. I think I'm not alone, though, when I say I'd prefer something new though.

dack is fine i guess but what i hope it is, is a member of rogue squadron we havent seen yet
