No I haven't seen it yet but its AWESOME. I especially like the cave crusher with trigger action for the arm. Will be fun knocking through some defences with that thing.

LOL, it has the buzzsaw catapult that I was supposed to put in my Rock Monster's Revenge entry! Anyways, that set appears to be far and away the best of the three new ones. Those lime dishes on the wheels look yummy.

Seen preview and display pictures of it. By far and away, my favourite new PM set.

Is it a set or an alt model?

It appears to be a set as there are no alternate ins. on Lego.com.

In the wheels and in the launcher are what appear to be 4x4 lime dishies, which do not appear in any inventoried sets on BrickLink. (Titanium Command and Rock Wrecker have been inventoried already)

There's a picture of the Cave Crusher box at http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/8708_Cave_Crusher . It shows the set number as 8708 and the price at $35.99, but does not have the piece count. There is also a scan from a Japanese Lego catalog floating around that has a price in Yen that converts to roughly $70 U.S., but their prices for existing sets are about $10 to $20 higher. I'm hoping for the $35.99 price, but without the piece count it's anyones guess.

Except for the Boulder Blaster, the Power Miner set number range is 8956 to 8964. Since the Boulder Blaster set number is 8707 and the Cave Crusher is 8708, I'm going to go out on a limb :D and guess the Cave Crusher will be a Limited Edition set too. That might also explain why it didn't show up with the Crystal King, Rock Wrecker and Command Rig. Can't wait to see it it, reminds me of the Colonial Marines RV in Aliens.

it was not at toy fair. that might have been a leaked photo from another showroom. my guess is that it's a store exclusive of some kind. exclusives are never shown at the ny toy fair. tru, walmart, target? which will be the lucky retailer? i can't wait though, it looks pretty awesome.

I stand corrected!

And I'm a big fan of Limited edition store exclusives (like the Agents sub, the Star Wars republic fighter tank, and the Power Miners Boulder Blaster. For some reason these sets seem to be built better and are a better value.)

In the photo from Chuck's flickr account, the box indeed has a "Special Edition!" graphic in the upper right hand corner. Assuming its even remotely reasonable in terms of pricing, I'm sure I'll pick this one up. I'm guessing a piece count in the mid 400's, with a $50 price point.

D'oh ! I totally missed that Special Edition graphic in the corner. That wasn't much of a guess after all.

After watching that little video, I can't help but think how much fun they must have at LEGO meetings.

TRU will get it guarenteed. They got boulder blaster.

What? This set may very well end up being a TRU exclusive, but it's in no way gauranteed. The castle set Skeleton Ship Attack was a TRU exclusive, then Dwarve's Mine was a Target exclusive.

And while we're speculating, my guess is Target, since they don't have any exclusive going at the moment.
