Challenge #13: Object Spelling

Postby onions » Mon May 18, 2009 5:29 pm

Okay, this is a little tough to explain so bear with me.

Find objects that start with the same letters as the letters in "FBTB.net". Arrange your objects in the same order as FBTB.net. You must use a coin for the ".". You must use different objects to represent the two letter B's and T's. Take a picture of your arrangement along with your name written on a piece of paper and submit it to this thread. You must also submit the picture to the FBTB: flickr Outpost pool with the tag "Challenge 13".

EXAMPLE: If I were to spell my name, "Ace", instead of "FBTB.net", I would get an "A"corn, "C"auliflower, and an "E"lephant. I would then take a picture of the three together in that order (A, C, E) as my entry. Names of pets do not count. Toys, actions figures, stuffed animals, and other similar types of playthings or collectibles cannot be used. No photoshopping. Picture must show the actual objects. Drawings or pictures of objects will not be accepted. Representations of objects will not be accepted. Like, I can't use a picture of an elephant for "E", I would have to find a real elephant. Nor would I be able to use a toy elephant either. LEGO cannot be used.

I realize that there may be a wide level of interpretation in choosing objects for the spelling game so just do your best. You have 48 hours to complete this challenge. Challenge will end on May 20 at 5pm. Good luck!

My entry in the FBTB Challenge 13:
Fusilli; Broccoli; Tofu; Bread; (coin); Net; Egg; Tomatoes.

OK, after taking a photo of what was going to be my entry, I read the instructions again, oops, no LEGO. (You can see the first one in my flickr stream if you are interested.) I took the first photo in the kitchen for the light, so went back to the kitchen to find new options. Will follow up later (on flickr) with a photo of the lunch made from these items.

EDIT: Changed picture to comply with rules, see below.
Hopefully, I shouldn't have to tell you what the objects are; it should be obvious, or I've failed. The coin is on a napkin for visibility reasons (it blended in quite well with my carpet), and I didn't want to lose because you thought I didn't include it. It's actually an American Bi-centenial quarter, not that you could tell from this distance.

By the way, does this need to be uploaded to the Flickr pool or anything? I didn't see anything in the instructions.

The way my living room is set up, I couldn't get the words in a straight line, so I had to put ".net" under "FBTB".
