PC gamers, rejoice! LEGO made available today a demo of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes for Windows PC (XP, Vista 7, 8). Sorry, Mac users, you're out of luck. You can download the demo directly from LEGO on their games page.

A playable demo for PS3 and Xbox 360 will be released later this week.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes will be released on October 22 for all major platforms except for the Wii.

We could probably do with a general game thread or some such as I'm not sure where best to post this, but via Twitter by way of Bearded-Warrior on Gamefaqs, two pictures have been posted which seem to show off the entire character roster:

It's not all the characters but it is close. Plus I think there are a few that hadn't been confirmed yet.

Finished playing through the demo, not bad. I definitely need to remap the controls when I get the full version though.

No kidding. I feel like previous demos have allowed me to do so for the demo. I don't understand why they assume that everybody would be fine with using the left hand for movement. Is that some kind of carryover from consoles? And I can't figure out why they shifted the other controls over one key. This isn't the first game they did it on, but it used to be the standard for the LEGO games to use JKL, with I to switch, now they use HJK, with U to switch, and my hand keeps getting out of sync.

Here's hoping this game will actually REMEMBER my remapped controls. Some of the LEGO games have forgotten them every time I exited, forcing me to remap them every time I played.

Well you can remap the controls in the demo =)

As a console player, the layout for the "buttons" was weird to me, so I swapped them to the arrow keys, for more familiarity.

How? I looked through the available menus and couldn't find that option.
