Nathan Sawaya was on hand to assemble and donate this brick built recreation of Jim Lee's Batman: Justice painting to the We Can Be Heroes Darkness & Light Art Exhibition. ComicBook.com took one of very few photos of the completed piece and while that's a shame, I understand why few people would be lured away from the main events of SDCC to wander into this small, underhyped art show.
Photoblogger Mayoress also stopped by to get a look and got this shot of Sawaya's Catwoman scupture and one of his previous Clark & Hal sculpts in flight.
There are two more chances to catch this exhibit on tour in Atlanta, GA - August 4-13th at the Phipps Plaza and Chicago, IL - September 19-26th venue TBA. Fan of Jim Lee's artwork? You can buy a signed lithograph of the above painting from DC Entertainment. It's not cheap, but it's limited to 200 prints and 75% of the price goes directly to the charities supported by DC's We Can Be Heroes intiative.
