Thanx for the pics. From what I can so far the sets look amazing. I will pick them all up forsure. I Can't wait to see pics of the Black Pearl.

Can't wait for real pics to come out. Any idea around when that should be? If these sets come out in May, what's the lead-time for marketing materials / images to go out? Anyone been paying attention to the timing of other themes?

The best part is that it looks like the awesome Jack Sparrow minifig will be included into most if not all of the sets. I may just get a small set for the Jack Sparrow minifig, since I don't collect pirate-themed Lego lines. Still, Pirates of the Caribbean LEGO sets just sound too good to be true, I hope they somehow make this license last good.

I haven't been this excited about a new theme, licensed or original, for a number of years. I usually buy sets and the absorb them into my inventory for building mocs but I will probably build every ones of these sets!

According to Eurobricks, three reviews have popped up on a foreign Lego site. They're in another langauge but there are an abundance of pictures. They've been updating them at a daily rate or so, so I'm sure we will get some more reviews from the same user soon.

So, what's the deal with these...? The Store Calendar I picked up at the Lego Store says the Queen Anne's Revenge will be available on April 16th, but when I called them to confirm, I was told the sets will not be in store until mid-May. Anyone heard anything?

For those who arr itching for some swashbuckling, most of the sets (no ship? how am I supposed to set sail and get my plunder on?) appear to be available at tru.com.

That's my problem with TRU.com too, cas - the one I want isn't listed for sale!

So I called around to a couple local Lego Stores and I'm assuming they issued a notice because they all said the same thing, give or take: the "April 16th" on the Store Calendar flyer was a typo. The Lego Stores in my area (Southern California) get their shipments on Monday so, if they WERE going to have them available for sale on April 16th, they would have them already. Which they do not.

But two of the three stores I called suggested trying back on Monday because if the sets arrive in-store on that day, they are sometimes authorized to sell them early, especially if other stores (I'm looking at YOU, TRU.com) have them for sale, too.

So take this info as you will - if your Lego Store gets its shipments later in the week than mine, you very well might be able to purchase them on April 16th, but I heartily recommend you give the store a call before heading over there.
