Does anyone know if the Ferrari license has expired?

They are long overdue for new sets if it was continuing.

I don't know if it's any indication, but over at Brickset there's details of a new Lamborghini so there's at least some desire on Lego's part to release licensed car sets.

To my knowledge, that Lamborghini Gallardo is being released as part of the Creator line, for what it's worth.

It's got a Racers box. Which Ferrari started being packaged in.

Ferrari has been a sub-theme under the "Racers" line since the beginning as far as I recall.
