How to store lego sets?

Hello all. We are starting to take down Christmas decorations and I'm dissassembling the holiday lego sets for storage. I've. Never really had to store legos before. I mean they are either not built yet or built and being displayed. I always save the boxes and instructions. I obviously want to store them back in their boxes, but what do you put the loose pieces in. I was thinking large ziplock bags. Also, want to know if the ziplock bags harm the integrity of the legos in anyway such as breakdown the strength of the bricks or discolor them in anyway. Especially the white ones. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks!

Zip lock bags work great. I've stored mine this way for years without problem. I would recommend using the freezer bags as they do hold up better and the seal is stronger.
