My take on Empire Strikes Back...[custom Star Wars posters]

Postby emtfl » Tue Sep 18, 2012 1:10 pm

Hi all! Long-time lurker, first-time poster. Like...literally LONG TIME lurker, haha. I've been browsing the forums and website since way back when (when onions took over)...that was probably 12-15 years ago. XD

Anyways, I remember there used to be a "star wars" forums which was open to any and all star wars discussion. Is this forum now only LEGO star wars?

Either way, I wanted to share with you guys my new poster:

Welcome aboard. You've misunderstood this subforum a bit - it's still all things Star Wars so you're in the right spot. Guess there hasn't be a lot of non Lego related threads in here lately.

And I dig the poster. Not so much the advertisement for the etsy shop plastered at the top though, kind of cheapens it. Maybe that's just me.

welcome!

if you're open to constructive criticism, i think the x-wing whould be less angled and more mired in the swamp waters.

i love the style though. do you have more OT posters?

It just looks like a watermark to discourage people from ripping off his design...

I agree with what onions has said. I love the style and the colors, but the X-wing does look a bit precarious. It reminds me a little of those plastic bird toys you see in dollar stores... the ones where there's a weight in the beak so you can balance it on your finger and the body will balance in mid-air? ;)
When I'm not playing or being artsy, I work on sites like www.vincentmartella.com and IPO Boutique. In other words, I never stop playing or being artsy!

onions - cool to be talking to you after seeing your posts for 15+ years XD I had it sitting a little above the water to foreshadow to it's "rising" out of the water. And yes, I'm working on A New Hope right now. here's the ROTJ, I completed it last night: http://imgur.com/4p11D Glad you guys like it.
