How did you draw this conclusion? from page 28?

The minfig in the Republic Cruiser set is flesh with tan legs and does not have a braid printed on the torso (which I guess could be considered a mistake by Lego).

Ah. I hadn't noticed that one. So there are five mistakes.

How about on page 56, star destroyer. It shows r2-q5 but it should be r2-d5 that came with this set. r2-q5 is only availabe on the death star playset.

and a minor one on page 69, bunker. It shows the death star trooper but should be the imperial trooper.

And a question: why is the v wing 6205 shown for both 2005 and 2006?

By the pure fact that it wasn't realeased in 2005.

I think I can see what Obi-Wan Skywalker is trying to say, but the two VDs shown on page 28 are both different and came from separate sets (the blue one was in 2005 and came with Anakin's Jedi Starfighter, and the tan one was with the N-1 Naboo Starfighter and came out in 2007).

Look at the top of page 7.

Yep. And then it's repeated on the next page in the 2007 column.

Noted. Thanks :)

I guess that confirms the error about the 6205, being mentionned in two different release years.

there might be a couple legitimate sets that could show up twice such as the 6212. Released in 2006 and then sold out and rereleased again in 2008.

I'm not sure this is an error because Lego kind of messed up the naming of R2-D5 to begin with. There is no such droid in Star Wars, it was a typo by Lego: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/R2-D5. Thus, I think the book is justified in correcting the typo and giving the black Imperial astromech droid its proper name, which is R2-Q5.

Page 16: Republic Cruiser
"The Republic captain and pilot minifigures sit in the cockpit"
but never at the same time - unless there is some trick to cramming them into that tiny cockpit that I don't know of.

Page 34: Phase II Trooper
"... their heads have faces under the helmets"
Mine don't. Just pure blackness under those helmets. The CW clones are the only ones I know of with faces.

Page 50: Death Star
"Cog operates interrogation devices inside cell"
All that mine does is open and close the cell door.
On the same page the caption "Chute into trash compactor" is actually pointing at the door leading out of the trash compactor.

Page 53: Stormtrooper
More of a layout error - the paragraph ends abruptly: "Stormtroopers with Imperial Inspection (set 7264) have"
What do they have? Printed legs, I guess.

There is something odd about the image of the 4483 AT-AT Walker on page 52. The front left foot is missing everything but the dark grey dish. Also it must have been cropped out before the shadow was added, as that matches the dish.

You're right there is. It looks like the foot has been cropped off. I've checked my set (the one that is photographed in the book) and it's complete.

I gotta imagine the author(s?) reading this thread and crying. But that's what you get for writing for Star Wars fans.

I'm one of the authors and I started the Hunt for the Mistakes so there are definately no tears running down my cheeks. And Simon, the main author/DK editor, is reading this thread and is very keen to get all the errors located so that they can be fixed for the upcoming reprint.

So keep them coming in!

;)

Makes sense...if we can have re-hashes of ships and figures makes sense we can have reprints...

Can we get a Han Solo Celebration figure this time round...or better yet, a Chewie with a much-deserved medal?

Finished a complete read and have to say, despite the minor errors, a definite must-buy and will probably end up as a present to numerous nephews as well!

On a sad note, went to a book store the other day, and they had 6 on the shelf. 2 were missing the figure and appeared as if someone cut the tape holding the lid together >8( Boo!!!...this might make retailers want to not carry future books like this.

interesting fact I did know but this might confused the young fan/collector. However, the two droids have different heads therefore visually it should be different in the respective pages but both show r2 q5 and that to me would not be true to the original lego set contents - up to the authors if they want to keep the same original name or have it both called r2 q5 (even though the heads are different which is ok, it would be a variant)

Is that what you think a reprint is all about? That's pretty jaded.

The book is being reprinted because stocks of the initial print run are getitng low because the book is selling so well. Publishers take reprints as an opportunity to correct mistakes.

Great work on the book Jeremy. Just got it in the mail this afternoon so I haven't had much time to look at it in depth yet, but so far it looks great.

EDIT: The Luke minifigure at the bottom right hand corner of page 55 has a freakishly wide lightsaber blade that covers most of his head and torso.

Like Pete said, this is a flick book. He's probably swinging his blade so there is some motion blur going on.

Sure. Just send me one.

Of - it's not a set. It didn't have a number and it came built and glued. It was a promo item.
