Minifigre Scale

Hey everybody
Does anyone here knows, if there is a list or something which shows all sets, that are designed in "Minifigure Scale" ?
I just got myself the Imperial Shuttle 10212, which is said to be in true Minifigure-Scale.
I measured a Minifig (41 mm high) and the Shuttle (about 45-46 cm long) and looked up the size of the "true" Imperial Shuttle, which is about 20 metres long. I assumed the height of a normal human of 1,80 metres and calculated a lenght of 45,5555 cm, which is pretty accurate to the 45-46 cm i measured on my Imperial Shuttle. So here you can really speak of Minifigure Scale.
So does anyone else did some of these Calculations or measured his models to say if they are Minifigure Scale or not ? I think this could be pretty interesting, which Official Lego Star Wars Models are Minifigure Scale. IIRC the 10179 Millenium Falcon is said to be Minifigure Scale, too.

I would check 4483? 22Meters high and 20 Meters long. Posibly the republic gunship as well. 7662?

Okay, so 180cm = 70.866in = 5ft 10.866in. (1in = 2.54cm) for those of us who have trouble with conversions. Given those measurements, your minifigure is just over 1:43 scale (about 1:43.2 scale as calculated from this website.) According to this matrix then, 1 meter ≈ 2.9 studs.

The Republic Gunship (7676) is listed as 17.4m long on Wookieepedia - not sure if it includes the guns, but I'll just assume it's the measurement of the airframe - which would be 50.46 studs in length, approximately. Just looking at the instructions online, I'd say the airframe is about 47 studs long, which would be really close - about a meter short. With the guns, it would be longer, of course. This is about a 6 or 7% difference in size given the 1:43.2 scale.

However, increasing incrementally to the 1:44 minifigure scale (a widely utilized scale), 1 meter ≈ 2.8 studs, and this makes the LEGO gunship's length about 48.72 studs, which is pretty spot on if you ask me. This is under a 5% difference, used commonly in statistics to verify significance, or in our case, I would argue accuracy. Given the wide ranging opinion on what "minifigure scale" is, I would say 7676, and anything close to within 5% (or even 10%) could be considered minifig scale.

Without looking, I would say many of the starfighters would meet this criteria, however an AT-AT would have to be about twice as big as any LEGO has made up to this point to qualify for this scale.

One thing that people seem to lose sight of whenever these discussions of scale come up is that the LEGO minifigure is not proportionate to an actual human. It's somewhere around 1:40 to 1:48 scale based on height, but a minifigure is considerably wider than a human would be at the same height. So, it's all relative.

I think people are aware of that, but usually base comparisons on the minifig's height for simplicity's sake.

Taking into account '1 stud = 1 foot', '3 studs = 1 meter', and various other commonly used conversion factors, I would have to agree with Brickdoctor's estimation of 1/30 to 1/40 for minifigure scale. 1/48 always seemed too small.

I'll also say that I prefer conversion factors similar to the ones mentioned above as opposed to any that are directly based on the dimensions of a minifigure, for reasons Draykov has already made clear. To most MOCers, minifigure scale is minifigure scale regardless of whether or not the cockpit actually fits a minifigure (see here).

The newer X Wing and Gold Leaders Y Wing are fairly close as well. They seem about the right size in comparison to the UCS MF and IS. The proportions on things like wingspan may not be quite right, but they are close. (and they seem to match up in about the same proportions that the Fine Molds 1/72 X wing and Y Wing match up to the Fine Molds MF.)

Ah, but can a kit as inaccurate as the Fine Molds Falcon, with its vertical turret sidewalls, parallel mandibles, and tiny radar dish, be cited as a reliable source of reference? And in any case, it's plain to see that the Falcon with its many lengths makes 10179 a poor set for extrapolating any sort of standard "minifigure scale" from (not unlike the "Midi-scale" of 7778...).

Give me a scale for 10212 based on the size as implied by the dimensions of the effects model (not minifigures) and maybe then we'll get somewhere.
