More Star Wars Miniland Models Arrive At LEGOLAND CA

LEGOLAND CA got a few more models in recently for their gigantic Miniland display opening March 31, 2011. Some Stormtroopers, a Snowtrooper and Scout Trooper were on hand to assist Gary McIntire unload and unwrap some of the models.

Isn't that guy in the back a little too short to be a stormtrooper?

First one is a clone turbo tank, What are the next to pictures of? Second one the only thing that comes to mind is a jedi temple data core. Third one looks like some kind of fan or something. And here I thought I was a properly educated Star Wars Nerd.

Second picture looks like a building from Christophsis, and pretty sure the third picture is the base of a Naboo building missing its dome.

The third one looks like part of the Naboo palace to me. That second one, after Chief's comment I had to look up Christophsis and yep, that's definitely from there. It's nice to see old gray make an appearance on the Turbo Tank. I guess that piece doesn't exist in the new gray.

I think I remember seeing some of that CW battle and I can see how it could be part of the palace now. Would have been clear it the with the dome I am sure. At least I did not remember something that was OT.

Looks to me like the technic bushes on the turret and the minifig goblets on the midsection are old grey as well.

I don't know why I said that. I have most of the sets that piece in new gray appears in! I guess I was perplexed to the point of losing my mental faculties at the appearance of the defunct color. Looking at the hi-res image, it appears there are several places where the old color appears. It certainly adds dimension, even if it's use it symmetrical.
