Shame to see the man who effectively molded Lucas' idea into the cultural icon it was pass away. First Leslie Neilson, now Kershner.

May he R.I.P. ESB was definitely my favorite one in the series. He'll be happier being surrounded by Jedi.

What an awesome director to my favorite movie of all time. He painted the darker picture of Star Wars. Yes there were some jokes spread here and there and there was the romance that began between Leia and Solo, but there were the AT-AT's, bounty hunters, Yoda, Lando hitting on Leia and Vader as Luke's father. The world of Star Wars was never the same after that. Ewoks, Anakin as a brat, and bad comedy spread throught the series, none can compare to the Empire flying through astroid fields looking for the Rebel Scum. Thank you Mr Kershner, may the Force be with you.
