Favorite Star Wars Quote

Another RotJ one for me.

Yoda: "Soon will I rest, yes, forever sleep. Earned it I have".
Luke: "Master Yoda, you can't die".
Yoda: "Ah, strong am I with the Force, but not that strong. Twilight is upon me, and soon, night must fall. That is the way of things. The way of the Force".

I think that's a really moving part of the film, it really kinda hits home, and we lose the coolest, most badass Jedi Master to ever live. Also, I think it's an incredibly eloquent and beautiful way of saying I'm about to kick the bucket.
Yoda's the best.

It's Yoda. Everything he says is quote worthy. (or more acurately... "Everything he says, quote worthy is.")

I don't know if I'm about to support or disprove your little hypothesis, but I remember literally laughing out loud in the movie theater during opening day of AotC, and he's in the Laat/i, and he says, "Around the survivors, a perimeter create." By far the worst example of trying to force a line of dialogue to come out of his mouth.

Just the way Luke abruptly cut him off. No chance to finish the sentence. Han is caught off guard by his bluntness. Brilliant.

I'd have to agree Yoda lost some of his "mistical persona" in the Prequels. He went from being a ancian master training Luke to being a master Jedi ordering armies around. Although his duels were pretty cool.

My favorite has to be when in episode 3 at the start of the movie anakin is dangling from the opening doors of the elevator shaft hanging on for dear life then 2 security droids holding guns shout "hands up jedi!"

I agree. You just can't top this quote in my opinion. Han was cool enough already and after this quote he just became legendary.

Sidenote: it doesn't work in real life, my girlfriend just got mad at me when I said it.

I think that's because most of Yoda's good dialogue is simple sentence inversion. That one was screwed up badly.

Also, I've always likened "IT'S A TRAP!" to the Nostalgia Critic's "OF COURSE!" joke, in that I've never understood the appeal of both, and they've both been used way too much.

I know that it is kind of a cliche at this point, but the exchange between Luke and Vader during the cloud city duel is my favourite (and the most often misquoted).

Vader: Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father.
Luke: He told me enough. He told me YOU killed him.
Vader: No. I am your father.
Lule: That's not true. THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!
Vader: Search your feelings. You KNOW it to be true.

Without a doubt, the greatest plot twist in the history of Cinema. (Well, maybe not the greatest, but its in the top five).

So, so many. A few faves:

• "Looking? Found someone, you have, I would say, hmm?" - Yoda (that line cracked me up even when I hated Star Wars)
• "It didn't go in. Just impacted on the surface." - Garven Dreis (the ultimate out-of-context quote)
• "It's not my fault!" - Han, Lando, etc.

Not only is it the best quote of the SW saga (sincerest apologies, master Yoda), but it is one of the best quotes in movie history. How cool was Han when he uttered that line?! To an adolescent boy in the early 80s, he was pretty cool.

I definately have a few favorite Star Wars quotes...in no particualr order, they are:

Yoda: "Do or do not, there is no try" - obviously I love this quote enough to make it my sig .

Ben Kenobi: "The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together" - an awesome quote I use to tell others about the force at school.

Ben Kenobi: "The Force will be with you, always."
