Thanks for the thoughts and prayers everyone. He's been home since Sunday noonish, and doing much better.

The winner will be posted in 5 minutes. Suspense!

edit: it's between these two-
joedward and red shirt... hm....
But I have been informed that they have both already won. Great. Now what?

Yeah, Sorry about that. I posted in both challenges before they ended, and I ended up winning one

I would have edited my post in this forum, but I didn't want to risk violating the "no post editing" rule.

Glad to hear your goods news though. Family First XD

Hey, I would have entered both this and the caricature if I'd had more time. Sometimes 7 days just isn't enough... especially when you're busy and, uh, forgetful. :p

Allright, I guess I'll make this official. Since joedward and red shirt are already winners, I can't pick them. And since I can't make myself choose someone else from below them, I'll give this a couple more days for everyone to revise their entry as they see fit. Just make a new post with a new image. If you've seen Eds or Red Shirts, you might know what I'm looking for. Lego engineer and GrayMattR's are so close to being perfect it's not even funny. (GrayMattR, my wife would have picked yours for the win if only it had brown hair!)

Protip: at this point...the more outrageous, the better. And the more accurate, even better. I'm going to use this as my sigfig here on the site, so...uh..make it good.

Can you be more specific on "a couple more days?"

A couple generally means two. So try and make the best you can in that time frame, and if it does get extended, you can have a go at adding to it, or trying to perfect what you're got.

This challenge is like a task a school with Ryan being the teacher and giving everyone that's eligable a big C- and the words "must try harder" !

By the looks of it, GrayMattR just needs a new hairpiece and a new photo and we'll be done ... I can't be bothered to change mine, as I doubt changing the hair to brown will make me win given the subject matter choice ;)

So can only people who already entered the contest previously revise theirs, or can someone like me who didn't enter before enter now?

To clarify, yes new entrants are allowed.

And I hope I don't sound insulting to those who submitted entries already by saying I'd like to see more. I faved many worthy entries on Flickr, I just didn't feel they were "The One" perfect sigfig. Neither of the potential winners I'd picked were perfect, but they were the closest to what I wanted to see at the time. Who knows, maybe when I close this tomorrow I'll decide I want my sigfig wearing glasses because my contacts are bugging my eyes that day...

And finally, in case it wasn't obvious by the two entries I had picked before, right now I'm kind of partial to the unshaven look. Hint hint.

Ryan and his family have decided to take a nice vacation, and are camping out in the woods. Of course, they're not alone…

M8: Will that be all, sir? Would you or your wife care for a drink?

Ryan: Nah, we're good.

Glaciator: YOU WANT ROCK MONSTER MASSAGE?!

Ryan: Uh, no… thanks for asking. Maybe later?

M8: Any chance a gander at the telly would be satisfactory?

Ryan: … sure! The remote, please.

M8: Right away, sir…

Sorry for the black hair before. It looks darker when it's shorter... So I changed the hair, changed the table to better match and follow the grain of the wood.
