I so am in agreeance with most people here:
First Impression: Bleh
Another expensive year.
Looking closer.. Great molds
I will of course have to get it.

I think it will be another '10123 Cloud City' for sure. I am into collecting what I love or like. Thier are only a few system sets I don't have. Even less that I don't like or think I will like. Plus, what a great investment that I can pass down to my kids. I dream of one day assembling them (need a bigger house ;-) ) and swooshing (most of them) around and re-enacting scenes while watching (the ORIGINALS) with my son. Kinda a dream of bonding I have. We already watch clone wars cartoons on DVR before bed. It is ALMOST tradition. BTW, He is only 2.

While it is sure to be overpriced, I really like the set design. Thus I want it.

The conference room looks like it was designed very well with the hologram and wrap around theatre. I also see a coomand bridge on top of the conference with Ackabar's chair with big headrest and big windows. overall very good set!

Wow, you have good eyes, Now that im looking at it again it does look like it has an "upstairs" brigde or something. i really hope to see some better/larger pictures of this set soon.

Maybe this is just a teaser and not the whole set. wouldnt suprise me one bit.

Well, the previous year has not been good to me Lego-wise, at least with the "Star Wars" line.
I'm not interested in the "Clone Wars" sets.

I was hoping for a set similar to the Imperial Star Destroyer, but this looks pretty good.

Good move, I'll be reading through that again later to see who's suggestions ended up in this preview pic!

Great looking set & this year could be as costly as back in 2000 was.

It has Ackbar, I will buy it. The rest looks nice to me, but the high selling point is Ackbar.

I love this set! Like most of you I really love the figs (maybe it's because of my age that I always prefer the OT minfigs) and the A-wing.

Secondly: I don't understand the people who were expecting a complete Home One vessel. When I read the poll of Lego, I very much expected a set like this. The big bonus however is the amazing minfig collection which is beyond my expectations!

First the Hoth Set
Then the Endor Set
Now Home One
I need another job to fund my Lego addiction ;)

I love this set. little scene like are always nice in a display purpose. With the Venator and Endor base, it's a must-have for me.
the pros are certainly the number of new minifigs and the trans-light orange death star. the cons: it's never big enough...

I cant believe anyone has brought this up...the green A-Wing and pilot? According to Wookiepedia, Tycho Celchu piloted Green 3 during the Battle of Endor. I had thought this 'fig might be Celchu when I first saw the scan, but I finally looked Celchus wookiepedia page and there it is!

As with most sets the minifigs are what make it and this is definitely the case with Home 1. I would have preferred a more substantial briefing room but I guess it has to appeal to kids hence the inclusion of the A-wing. Still it's a must buy.

This thread has fallen too low for such an awesome set.

That makes it look even worse.

Jeez, I designed a better chair than that. (I'll try and find it and photograph it.)

I like it too. I would be totally out of money if this were an actual ship like the 6211 ISD and the new Venator. So, I welcome the design...I especially like the green A-wing. It should go along nice with my red one that came out back in 2006.
