I know what you mean, but I imagine once you see them in person the difference between the molded Ackbar head and a regular minifig head won't seem quite so drastic. These are pretty close-up shots.

I agree with Draykov. The Mon Cal heads look great, very detailed. The ability to spin, and I think slide Ackbar's chair, was a nice touch too. This set will fit nicely next to a Cloud City or HRB. Too bad it's a TRU exclusive, that means no Amazon.com discount.

I am left speechless by this set. The control room just looks amazing and so do the minifigs.

As said previously, while the Lego Co head sculpts aren't bad, they're a far cry from tstoeger's custom design. ;)

That's a really good picture of him. He looks much better than I expected considering his facial features would seem difficult to replicate. TLG did a pretty nice job.

I love the new A-Wing; the modified 360 degree turrets are a big improvement, as well as the green color scheme and the Rebellion insignias.

I like the concept, but the execution seems... like they didn't make the actual set to its potential. The minifigs are great, but the base itself is not impressive.

Read his post: that's not the official one. That's from tstoeger.

Having seen Mike's video, I'm a bit more impressed with the A-Wing hangar half of the set. Once you see it function and the A-Wing smoothly "repulsor lifts" its way out of the hangar bay, it's pretty cool. Of course, maybe that's just the easy-to-please-with-bells-and-whistles-12-year-old inside of me talking.
