Super Star Destroyer (10221) - Display Options

Postby randerk » Tue Apr 22, 2014 9:01 am

Good morning all,

New member to this forum, I had a question and this seemed like the appropriate place to ask. For anyone with the Super Star Destroyer (10221) kit I'm curious what kind of solutions you've used for displaying this monster. I had the idea of getting some sort of long shelf with multiple compartments. The long top would be for the Star Destroyer and the other comparments/sections would be for other Lego Star Wars kits of mine. Another idea would be some sort of wall shelving.

If anyone has any suggestions or wants to tell me what you've done I'd appreciate the feedback!

Snooker table works very well for me so far. Not such a good idea if you still want to use it for its original purpose, but I suck at anything involving a cue and chalk so it makes for a very solid display table. :)

Wow. Photobucket really turns a poor photo into a crappy one.

I like the sense of up-scale that arrangement conveys...Blockade Runner is big, Star Destroyer bigger, SSD BIGGEST. :)

Yeah, it shows how small the blockade runner really is. Or how large the SSD is. Or both. :)

I guess the next step is to get the DSII with the scale SSD attached. Not at the top of the list of sets I want, but it would make for a complete display of the different scales.

I'm thinking you need to just make a DSII with a SSD crashing in to it... that's what a true fan would do...

Guy's aim is terrible, should have gotten that in the center, not the base
