Pros: You get some absolutely amazing minifigs. The new astromech is one of the most beautiful ones TLG ever made, the detailed printing and the color really make it shine among other figs. The pilot has an incredibly intricate and accurate print as well, even without the detailed helmet the fig looks great as the breathing tubes printed on the head connect perfectly with the ones on the torso.
The overall color scheme of the starfighter looks really good, the combination of black with silver and grey gives off a very nice "Empire feeling".
Using the rotating mechanism is quite enjoyable, it works smoothly and makes the model posable both in flying and in landing mode(although it does look especially sleek and dangerous when displayed in flight).
Cons: The design of the ship isn't accurate at all, the "nose" is supposed to be all even with a lower middle section and the guns are much too stubby and short(which can be seen on
this reference picture).
The stickers are quite annoying, at least the round tiles on the wings could have been printed.
Comments: The Imperial V-wing Starfighter is a model I enjoy to have in my collection - having to pay nearly 20 cents per part seems expensive, but it is quite big and looks much more imposing than other 25 dollar sets like the aforementioned Freeco Speeder. For everybody who is interested in minifigs and doesn't particulary care about the accuracy of the model as long as it looks good, this is a definite must-have!
