so two sets announced in the weekly sales:

Sale price $8 each (SRP $10) on:
* 8958 Power Miners Granite Grinder
* 6240 Pirates Kraken Attackin'

but i got no ideas yet for this:
"Other selected LEGO building sets also on sale."
it could change from store to store

At my local Target, nearly all the SRP $10 sets seem to be priced on sale at $8, including those new "starter" fireman/knight/pirate sets. Don't think it applies to SW: the battle packs were not included in the discount.

Confirmation that it's all sets normally priced at 10 go to 8, excluding SW battlepacks....

I was at my local Target and they were out of the Pirates set and I found this placard.
Looks like at some target's you can get the Indy Chase for $8 also, w00t!

Another verification of the $10 and $11 sets marked down to $8 (although at my store, the Indy cycles were ~$14). I grabbed the Agents Jetpack Pursuit with the Granite Grinder.

I accidentally double-posted this deal today and that thread was rightly locked. Anyways, for the sake of completion, I also saw these sets marked down to $8 at my Target:
