walked into tru tonight. picked up republic frigate. tru price: 129.99. i was able to use the coupon and take advantage of the 25 dollar off deal. here's the awesome thing: the register applied the 20% off coupon first, bringing the total down 103.99. Then the $25 discount applied, bringing my total down to 78.99, which is around a 40% discount off of TRU's price. this was before tax but even with tax it's still one of the better deals i'll probably be able to find.

Has anyone stacked these already? i am trying and it is denying the coupon, listing several reasons why and I'm not sure which. It clearly sales full priced items only so I assume this is it.

Oh well off to TRU b/m and see if I can get the same deal as Onions on some thing I want and hopefully they'll allow the $25 plus 20% to stack or even the $10 plus 20% to stack is fine as well.

I wanted to buy the Emerald Night, but it costs 99.99 so it only discounts $10. Any idea if by adding another set the discount would be $25?

No, 99 won't count. Also, putting two sets over 100 each in your cart will result in the second only being 10 off. Therefore you can ring it up in a separate transaction and get the 25 off again.

Lastly, the coupon doesn't work anymore if there is already a discount on the item. Could not get it to stack with 25 or 10 off.

I called and complained and they basically told me to "stuff it".

It just worked in store for me, stacked discount on the 7962 Podracers set came to $65.99 before tax

Ok, thanks to SutterCane on Brickset, I was just able to get both to work online, but you can't stack both coupons on one item. You need to have three items in your cart, all of which total $100 or more. The most expensive item will get the $25 off, the second most expensive will get 20% off, and the third will have no discount.

Here's what I did=

1. Added 7879 Hoth Echo Base ($94.99)
2. Entered the coupon code for 20% Off
3. Added 7641 City Corner ($59.99)- this removed the 20% off, made 7899 $25 off
4. Added a Series 3 Minifig ($2.99)- this made 7879 $25 off, 7641 was now 20% off

Cart total (with free shipping since it's over $75)- $120.97 plus tax, a savings of $37 off TRU prices. Of course, your savings will increase if you buy more expensive sets that do not have TRU markup. Replace 7641 with 7692 Podracers, and your total will be $148.97, $44 in savings.

The third item in your cart can be one of the small polybags like the Harry Potter minifig, nothing fancy. So the coupons will not stack, but you can play with your cart to use both in a single order. Not as good as a 7965 Falcon for $50-60 off, but you can get both deals to work together if you order multiple sets.

I can confirm, just bought 7965 in store. The register even took 20% off first, then took 25$ off! $100 dollars out the door!

My store had no Republic Frigates in stock, and the Minifigures Series 5 were $3.49 each, same as online. I bought nothing.

Heres what I did:

Walked into Toys R Us. (With a slight beer buzz)

Bought: 8038 Battle for Endor : (with standard $10 markup) $109.99. Used the 20% off [-$22] = 87.99.
Bought: 7956 Ewok Attack (do you see a theme going here?) $26.99.

Subtotaled at $114.98, which is eligible for the $25 off any purchase $100 or higher, so: $114.98 - $25 = $89.98.

with the TX tax at 8.125% [$7.31] the grand total came to:

$97.29. Toys R Us did the math for me at the bottom of the receipt and told me I saved $47.

So, I ended up paying 10.8 cents per piece, which, as we all know, is still overpriced.

But, I got two ridiculously overpriced playsets for just a bit over the golden ratio.
Besides, there was no way I was going to pass up a chance to add to my ROTJ collection.
Next up(or so I've read) is the UCS B-Wing. Or should I just bite the bullet and buy 10221...

This is a great deal! It stacked in store for me too. I didn't get the Rep. Frigate, but did manage to snag a POTC Queen Anne's Revenge (which as a TRU $20 markup!) for $87 The lady that rang me out was a bit in shock that I saved $53, but still let me have the deal.

I haven't been able to try this at the local TRU b/m yet but I'm hoping it works for me as well since the TRUs b/m here
1. don't usually have good large sets and 2. some how I always feel like I lost something after a purchase there, plus I've had problems where they just won't honor a coupon and it's their coupon mind you.

I was able to combine the 20% off and the $25 off through a phone order, I just told them that my facebook coupon wasn't working online and they were happy to help.

I got the London Tower Bridge set (usually $239) for $167 + tax (about $181).

Just went to the TRU in newington NH and did the same thing and it worked like a charm! I also had $15 in other coupons that i could use and brought the total down to $63.99 (saved $66!).

I might even go back and grab myself a podracer or two!

Stopped by my local TRU (New England area - all I'm sayin' ) and successfully combined the $10-off-over-$50 deal with the 20% off deal. I got the TRU exclusive Lightning Dragon Battle (NinjaGo) for $57 - reg. price is $80.

Scored the Sith Infiltrator for 52 dollars. I 'saved' a total of 25 dollars using both the coupon and the 10 dollars off 50 dollars deal. The Falcon was a tempting buy, but I just couldn't 'afford' it.
