I went last night. Their prices are through the roof on the sets now. It looks like the Wampa cave set is like $45 now when it was $35 last week.

Are you sure about that? It is rare when TRU sells sets for less than MSRP, and your claim of their price of $35 for a $40 set makes me think you're thinking of something else. $45 for that set at TRU sounds about right.

Yep I hate what TRU does this time of year. For example I went to TRU last weekend with the previous coupon and bought two Vindicator ships along with a bunch of other stuff. When it totaled out I thought it was a tad bit high. Sure enough when I checked my receipt after loading up my truck the price for the Vindicator was up to $139. I went back into the store and clearly displayed was a tag for $129 (still $10 over MSRP). So I had to go up to customer service and get a partial refund. Then when I went back on Saturday the cost of Echo Base set was ringing up $27.99 versus the $26.99 displayed. So you really need to check your receipts versus the displayed prices. Its no wonder TRU is floundering compared to Amazon and the like.

Thanks for the info I had no idea Toys r Us price gouged right before Christmas. Personally I won't shop there again. Why sacrifice principles when there are so many options for buying?

TRU always price gouges. It's just worse at Christmastime.

Used the coupon to pick up another6212 X-Wing, and another 8096Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle for $103 out the door. Not the greatest price, but when you throw in the free LEGO MiniFig Thumbdrive(which is awesome by the way) for free I'm happy with the purchase.

Now I'll be driving around with the upper half of a minifig loaded with music sticking out of my dashboard.
