LEGO Wii Remote Plus Red Brick Separator, 1x3 Tiles

LEGO Electronics come and go but this one made me stop to take notice. It's a LEGO Wii Remote. But that's not what caught my attention. It was the Red Brick Separator. You also get a bunch of 1x2 and 1x3 tiles to smooth out the face of the controller. Good stuff. You can buy it from Toys'R'Us.com for $39.99.

How the heck do you get the tiles out once they're in? Wouldn't the whole face be smooth, with no way to get the separator in?

that separator looks like it's modified. perhaps the sides are rubber and you can peel enough away to get the separator in

It looks like there's space for the separator at the very bottom of the remote, just above the 4 dots, below the 2 middle studs.
But yeah, the separator does look slightly different, so as to fit in the gap.

I like the idea, but the garish colors are a bit of a turn off. I suppose I'd have to see it in person.

Looks like the head on that separator is a new style. Well at least new to me.
