I had 3 Imperial flag ships in my cart and one was going to be free, but after I put in the credit card info they adjusted my cart to only two because "of limited inventory." I didn't notice until after I paid, so I had to cancel the order. It would also let me purchase two mid evil market villages, but, predictably, there were only two of those in stock too.

Yup, has happened almost every time, I don't even know why I get my hopes up, and I would put good money on all these sets coming back in stock next week.

and by ALL they seem to mean except Star Wars, unless I am doing something very wrong here.

Yeah, this is normal procedure for TRU with these sales. Watch for them to magically be back in stock after the sale is over.

I was browsing the site 10 minutes after the sale went live, and I was able to get some market villages and saw that fire brigade was also in stock. I don't think TRU pulls out all the desired sets, they leave just a few there to tantalize you to jump on the sale early.

After seeing the ad it does indeed have the usual (Excludes Stars Wars and Tubs) fine print. Which doesn't that defy the word ALL. Got to love TRU, glad I finally got a Lego Store near me.

Good time to get the Series 2 minis if they are still in stock. This brings the price to MSRP.

FYI -- The Cincinnati TRU at Eastgate has gobs and gobs of Series 2 minifigs. The Halloween display on the right as you enter has about 6 boxes in the corner and each register also seems to have a box. I didn't buy any or spend any time picking through them.

not my thing, but it looks like you can pre-order the HP sets on the 3 for 2 deal.

I found the new HP sets sitting in their shipment boxes on the top shelves. It had the sticker "Do not put on shelf before October 1, 2010." Needless to say, TRU has tantalized me.

Yeah, but you can only get 3 at a time. A bit tedious to get a full set that way.

Woo hoo! I found a TRU with a case and a half of Series 2 figs and no purchase limit! I'm shocked they didn't sell out yesterday when the 3/2 sale started. I picked up 15 figs ($29.90 + tax), which was enough for me to finish completing two full sets. This was in West Valley, UT in case any of you live nearby. The figs were on top of a LEGO display in the main aisle next to the LEGO aisle. I got the last two Spartans (I can't believe I actually found any!), but there should be a lot left of the rest.

My TRU has 3 $50 sets I've wanted for awhile, I'm just waiting till Wednesday to go get 'em, so they'll show up on next month's credit card statement. Muhahaha
