3/28 USA Target and TRU deals

Next week Target is having the Freeco Speeder and Atlantis Turbo Typhoon Sub both marked down to $20 each. It says other Star Wars and Atlantis sets also on sale, so I'm assuming the usual %10 off.

As for TRU, they are apparently having the BOGO 1/2 off sale again. Not sure whether or not Star Wars is included, but I guess we will see.

Not to derail, but any word on KMart? I thought they had a either a buy2get1 or a bogo sale this time of year and their sales do include Star Wars.

Also, as far as TRU, any idea what the odds Prince of Persia will be included? My money says they won't (like the other licensed sets for the most part).

TRU will be out of all POP (Prince of Persia) until April 11th according to their Customer Service line. They said they sold out so fast and won't get a shipment until that date and they guy said that was for both the stores and .com. Hope this helps.

The non SW large sets will already be like that. The exclusives anyway. I did manage to get 3 Troll Mountain Fortresses last year at the buy2get1 sale (online) and I have seen the occasional claim of folks getting some of the other large sets at the last sale. One idea is to be online right when the sale goes live to jump on it. Of course if TRU just outright removes them from the pool (as opposed to folks grabbing them as fast as they can click) then no amount of timing will help. Good luck everybody.

target has a "temporary price reduction" on one of the smaller SP III sets - Squidman's Escape. marked down from $5.99 to $2.99. not bad if you need a squidman i guess. i saw the sets in both the lego aisle and in the easter / seasonal section. not sure how long it'll last. there was no end date on the in-store sign.

I read these forums everyday, I'm a little curious though the answer might be glaringly obvious and I just don't believe it, but how do you all know the sales that are coming up next week?

There are other sites out there that specialize in finding deals, including upcoming sales. One of them is slickdeals.net. Quite often, somebody on there will leak the upcoming Sunday ads during the previous week, sometimes with ad-scans as well.

Exclusions for this sale are: All LEGO electronics (including Mindstorms), SW, Toy Story, and Bulk Brick.

I'm down in South Florida for work and visiting my Grandmother. Stopped by TRU and found all of the POP sets. The prices were 10.99, 19.99, 29.99, 49.99 and 79.99 for the five sets. The 19.99 Ostrich race is so over priced.

For what its worth, it looks as though TRU has removed the Google Checkout option from their site unless I'm just missing something. Looks like we're not gonna be able to get out of sales tax anymore. Bummer.

Well, I always get the TRU ads on Saturday, and looks like the TRU BOGO sale excludes Star Wars and Toy Story. No mention of Prince of Persia.

I also got the KMart ad, and they are indeed having a Buy2Get1 free sale with no exclusions.

The TRU deal is live so anyone who wants the bigger items better move now while they still have a few.

Free shipping has been taken down as well. No free shipping + Tax = no purchase for me. Bummer. Savings only comes out to about 15% off, which isn't all that great for me. Oh well.

dont forget to go through ebates for toys r us and you get 3% back, so it takes the sting out of tax a bit
