Walmart.com is rolling back its price on 8086 Droid Tri-Fighter from $24.97 down to $19.00. From all the 2010 LEGO Star Wars sets, this set is the best value for the buck, and at $19.00 with free site-to-store shipping, you really can't lose. I have no idea when this sale ends so snatch it up if you can.

i don't know about in-store. the page on the site says that prices in store may be higher. /shrug. but with free site-to-store shipping, i'd just order it online and wait for the delivery notice to hit your inbox.

Interesting. I'm not really into PT sets, but I may pick up a couple if they have it at the local one I can go to tomorrow. At worst it's got a nice variety of interesting pieces.

Seems an odd choice. Like you said, this was the set that actually was the best value already. I'm surprised they aren't rolling back the price on the TIE Defender. That set's pricing is a joke, IMHO.

When I consider the piece count I'm not very happy with the price of that set, but when I consider how cool it looks sitting on the shelf with all the other tie fighters I'm very happy with the 50 bucks I paid for it.

For $19.00 the Tri Fighter is a great value, I love that set and might grab a couple more.

Amazon.com has also matched the TIE Defender deal, also $44 there. And for the record, a quick recon mission to my local Wal-mart confirmed that this is an online-only sale (regular MSRP in stores).

From a parts perspective the set is dynamite. Old-school camera/missle bricks, 1x2 bricks with studs on both sides, a truckload of dark blue tiles, lots of wedge plates, round bricks, etc.

I got my Droid Tri-Fighter from my local Walmart today with the site-to-store shipping. It's an awesome set! Lots of useful parts, a very cool rocket droid commander minifig, and the ship just looks very good!

Also, now it's on sale for $17.54! I'll have to get a price adjustment refund later...
