You all do realize that TLG has very little to do with LegoLand anymore? They sold it to another company years ago, only have a minority stake in it still, and Legoland employees find it easier to order parts from BrickLink sometimes than negotiate a purchase order with Lego and the high minimum order they have to place. So this exclusive is not much different then if Walmart were carrying it. And explains why Lego stores and S@H don't know about it.

LEGOLAND California still works very closely with the LEGO Company in regards to retail product. The chrome Stormtroopers will be available in LEGO Stores, they are not exclusive to LEGOLAND California. LEGOLAND received them early for Star Wars Days. If you can't get ahold of anyone by phone, fax, or email, just be patient...I hear there is only one person who takes orders for the whole park.

Really? That's great news. XD
Are you sure if that is true?

Both stores selling these within Legoland sold out of the chrometroopers *twice* today. These were very much in demand, and came with a 2 per person per day restriction. Thanks to a couple helpfully obliging friends, we got what we could.

I'm assuming they will restock for the second Star Wars day tomorrow. Unfortunately, I won't be there, so this is what I have to work with.

I've now messaged everyone who wrote me... with the mostly good news!

We'll have to do a big writeup of the event on the main page, because it was a blast and VERY VERY CROWDED.

Just spoke with woman on the phone she took my name and shipping info as they have started a waiting list and will be getting more in approximately 2 weeks.

It's easier to write one post here than PM everyone individually:
Barring a catastrophic interruption to my schedule today, every one of these (that's been paid for! :p ) should be in the mail by evening.

Catastrophic failure: the tubes I bought were too small and would require me to bend the packaging a bit to fit them in. But folding them in causes the bubble plastic over the fig to come off the card back. I don't want anyone's fig or packaging taking that kind of abuse. I'm on the hunt for better/bigger tubes. Sorry folks.

I've found bigger tubes, but they cost me more and I only bought enough for 12 figs. Can I get 4 volunteers from people who I bought figs for who wouldn't mind having their fig sent in a bubble envelope?

I don't know if this has been reported already but the Chrome Stormtrooper is now on Shop at Home.

Edit: Sorry, just saw that there was whole thread devoted to the fig being on S@H. My apologies.

Just when you thought I'd pop in with yet another excuse:
Image
I'm off to the post office right now to go mail everyone's Chrometroopers. I apologize for the mega delays. I'd like to blame it all on the Legoland job tryout stuff and the apartment hunting and packing for the move, but we all know those things don't occupy my time 24/7...

Thank you very much again, Ry!
