Chrome Vader in UK TRU (NOW!! Spend £29.99 to get one free!)

hi got an email from lego confirming that there will be a vader giveaway through tru in the uk upon the 7th of june, will be buy a set of lego and get a vader free said stocks will be limited also didnt say weather theres a price restriction have to email tru and ask them i guess hope this is useful . still didnt realy answer my real question of differences in the regions lol

All you need to do is spend £29.99 on Star Wars Lego (not any Lego) and you'll get given a free Chrome Vader at the till. I assume the deal is while stocks last.

I now have 2 Chrome DVs and 5 Stormie BPs and a Spider Droid as annoyingly, there isn't a set on sale currently for £29.99 exactly ... there are some just less. Still, it's all good

Some TRU Germany / Austria branches were letting customers buy a chome DV for 4.99 Euro but I think even those that were stopped doing that after a few days.

it's nationwide. the deal in TRU started last Friday and it'll only be while stocks last. I guess the e-mails from Lego were wrong (as I was also told 7th June!).

I wish we had this option in the States rather than the "randomly inserted" option, because I'm not very lucky with those.

Didn't get a gold C-3PO and it seems I won't be getting a chrome Vader, lucky me.

It is good to see everybody "across the pond" has a chance to get this exclusive, though.

after 5 bus trips and leaning up a spewing yongster i now have my chrome vader luckly for me they also had the seperatist spider droid saved me order it from s&h lol

I got my chrome vader from TRU in Enfield (London) whilst visiting up that way. Just a word of caution - check your vader for faults in store. I didn't and on returning home 100 miles from the nearest TRU i find my vader has wonky torso printing and peeling paintwork behind his arms. That really chaps my sarlacc.

Hmm, the printing on both of mine are ever so slightly off, nothing major though, so I'm not too annoyed. I'm not going to spent my time with my nose pressed against it to stare at it's beauty, from arms length they both look just awesome anyway.
And good news, the guys at the customer service desk thought that the promotion had ended, but the box was still almost filled to the brim, so I may go again when the new sets show up.

I feel your pain. It really is hard to understand why these would be available in the U.S. and EU, but not in Canada. It's frustrating enough that pricing on some SW sets here is already 60% more than in the U.S. (e.g., #6212 X-wing Fighter is US$50 vs. CDN$80). Not sure why Lego won't at least offer us a promo like the one in the U.K.?
